    摘要: A position measurement system includes a photographing unit and an arithmetic processing unit. The photographing unit has a lens and a light-receiving element. The lens forms an optical ring image from light from a light source through spherical aberration. The light-receiving element detects the optical ring image formed by the lens. The arithmetic processing unit measures a distance to the light source on the basis of the quantity of light of the optical ring image detected by the light-receiving element.

    摘要: To prevent detection of facial images for whom detection is unnecessary, without reducing the detection ratio of registered players from facial images. An image acquisition unit acquires an image taken by a camera, and provides the image to a masking process unit. The masking process unit reads a masking pattern that has already been adjusted by a masking pattern adjustment unit and a movable masking area setting unit so that characteristic quantities of a facial image that does not need to be recognized as a facial image cannot be detected, from a masking pattern recording unit. A masking process is applied to the image provided, and the masked image is provided to a facial image extraction unit. The facial image extraction unit extracts a rectangular shaped facial image, and provides the facial image to a transmission unit. The transmission unit transmits the rectangular facial image provided to a face recognition server.

    摘要: A sample solution is stored in a total reflection cell, and a measuring beam is introduced from an incident optical system to be totally reflected, for measuring a total reflection absorption spectrum. Hydrogen peroxide contained in the sample solution is determined on the basis of absorbance at the position of any absorption peak of the spectrum which is present at 1200 to 1500 cm.sup.-1 or 2600 to 3000 cm.sup.-1. Hydrogen peroxide contained in an aqueous solution can be simply quantitatively analyzed through optical analysis.

    摘要: An excitation beam generated from a light source is separated into a measuring beam and a reference beam by an optical path adjusting optical system including a beam splitter, so that the measuring beam is applied to a sample in a cell. Raman scattering light which is generated from the sample is detected by a spectral detector including a spectroscope through a scattering light path adjusting optical system and a wavelength selector. In a spectrum obtained by the spectral detector, a peak of Raman scattering in which wavenumber shift from the wavelength of the excitation beam is present at 800 to 920 cm.sup.-1 is employed to make quantitative measurement of hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide contained in an aqueous solution can be simply quantitatively analyzed through optical analysis means.

    摘要: A small watercraft has a hull formed such that the center of buoyancy is slightly aft of the structural center measured in the longitudinal direction of the hull. The craft is equipped with an engine mounted near the center of buoyancy within the hull, and has such auxiliary parts as an oil tank and a muffler which are arranged around the engine. The upper portion of the wall surrounding the engine compartment for the engine may be constructed to protrude upwardly, and a hood with a seat may be mounted over the compartment opening such that the hood can be removed. The joint between the bottom edge of the hood and the upper edge of the surrounding wall of the engine compartment may be located above the draft line of the hull when it is stationary and occupied by the rated number of persons. The fore portion within the hull may be formed into an equipment compartment and a fuel tank compartment, and a hatch cover may be installed over the opening of the equipment compartment so that the cover can be opened and closed by pivoting. The muffler for the engine may be a water muffler through which exhaust gas passes accompanied by engine cooling water, with the fuel tank mounted on the water muffler.

    摘要: A digital control color illumination system is disclosed for use in a visual system of an industrial robot or the like. This system comprises: image memories to store the color data regarding illumination patterns of three primary colors of red, green, and blue; video signal producing circuits each for reading out the data from the image memory and converting it to the video signal indicative of the illumination pattern; video projectors each for projecting the light of the illumination pattern represented by the video signal onto an object to be illuminated; and a color TV camera to pick up the object image. The image data picked up is processed by a computer system to produce the data which is stored into the image memories. With this illumination system, the scanning of the illumination patterns, and the change, adjustment, storage, and the like of the illumination patterns can be executed by software in accordance with programs preliminarily stored in the program memory in the computer system.
