    摘要: The strip decoiler of the invention has a dancer arm in a vertical plane which sets the speed of the decoiler turntable. The lower end of the dancer arm mounts an adjustable connection which in turn supports a spool shaft carrying a support spool. The spool shaft can be swiveled about so that the spool can support the decoiling strip evenly all across its width. The shaft is quickly and easily adjustable for use with clockwise or counterclockwise uncoiling.

    摘要: A system (10) for supplying strip material (S) to a processing line includes a strip uncoiler assembly (11) and a strip take-out assembly (12). The uncoiler assembly (11) carries a plurality of adjacently positioned coils (C) of strip material (S) with the trailing end of the strip material (S) of each coil (C) being attached to the leading end of the strip material (S) on the serially adjacent coil (C). The uncoiler assembly (11) also includes a drive mechanism (26) to rotate the coils (C) as the strip material (S) is payed off to the take-out assembly (12) which has a take-out arm (44) movable by an indexing device (73) to always be aligned with the individual coil (C) currently paying off strip material (S). Take-out assembly (12) also includes a dancer roller (57) which moves in response to the demand of the processing line to control the speed at which strip material (S) is payed off by the uncoiler assembly (11).

    摘要: A continuous delivery apparatus for continuously feeding a lengthy work material wound into an approximately ring-like form to a press or the like. This apparatus comprises a rotatable turn-table on which wound material is placed so that an axis of the material is crossed perpendicular to the turn-table, a motor for rotating and driving the turn-table, and a swing arm, one end of which is supported on a rotating shaft whereas the other end thereof is pivotable from a center of the wound work material to an outer peripheral direction, said swing arm being always biased in an outer peripheral direction. The swing arm which is pivotally moved with a change in wound amount of work material is removed as an amount of rotation of the rotating shaft, said amount of rotation controlling the rotational speed of a motor to deliver work material at a constant speed at all times.

    摘要: Apparatus for pealing the leading end from sheet steel stock material which is rolled in a coil for easier handling in automated stamping equipment, and for guiding it and the subsequent trailing end of the coil immediately into debending and straightening apparatus which is closely next adjacent thereto. The debender includes fixed and movable dies that are complimentary, are mounted in-line with and immediately between the coil-end pealer and the stock feeding pinch rolls, with the movable die mounted on a channel beam section which also carries the piston cylinders operative thereof. The pealer, debender and pinch rolls all being mounted on and between common side wall supports in sufficiently closely spaced proximity to each other for the greatest proficiency and stock handling ease.

    摘要: A method of and an apparatus for detecting the position of the end of a coil of steel strip or other strip material which is to be paid out and setting the end of the coil at a predetermined position on the outer peripheral surface of the coil for initiating feeding of the steel strip to a rolling mill or other equipment. Support means mounting detection means is maintained in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the coil. The support means is adapted to operate in response to a variation in the outer diameter of the coil at the point of contact between the support means and the outer peripheral surface of the coil. The position of the end of the coil is detected by detecting a variation in the level of the outer peripheral surface of the coil or by detecting the action of the end portion of the coil to spring back by its own resilience as the end of the coil is moved past the detection means while the coil is rotated in a direction opposite to the paying out direction.
