The control device (10) operates the coiling device (1) in such a way that a current strip temperature and/or a current microstructure property of the strip is/are determined by taking measurements or calculating a model, the control device (10) determines a current desired torque value (MH,MR) from the actual value or a variable derived therefrom, and the control device (10) operates the coiler (5) and the optional drive roll (7) by the current desired torque value (MH,MR). The coiling device (1) has the advantage of improving the coiling quality as well as the strip quality in terms of the strip thickness and width.

    摘要： The flat undersurface of the turntable is supported on three idler casters. The disc is driven on the periphery by a gear motor which has a drive wheel attached. The direction of rotation of the turntable can be reversed by changing the direction of the motor electrically and by moving the position of the motor so that it tends to drive into the disc as it turns thereby increasing the wheel pressure and friction as the load increases. A spring biases the drive wheel towards this position so that when the power is turned off the motor and gear train acts as a brake. A pair of guide wheels act with the drive wheel to center the turntable. The motor speed is controlled by changing the resistance of a potentiometer on a variable speed motor controller. The potentiometer is converted from a circular motion to a linear motion by a capstan and cable arrangement. A slide moves, when pulled by the stock. The slide pulls a cable that is wrapped around a capstan which is attached to the speed control potentiometer. The cable is pinned to the capstan and is weighted at the other end to provide a constant tension but variable speed supply of stock.

    摘要： An apparatus for unwinding a roll of a thin belt-like discrete sheet material (hereinafter referred to as a "web") including paper, plastic film, fabric, metal and the like includes a cutter mechanism for cutting the forward end portion of the web of the web roll with the core and the forward end portion of the web being previously fixed in the winding direction, a nip mechanism for clamping the forward end portion of the web after the web is cut, and an unwinding shaft to be coupled to the core of the web roll, the cutter mechanism and the nip mechanism together with the unwinding shaft being linearly movable to and from a web roll storing position. The unwinding shaft position is movable, while the web roll supply position is stationary, so that the space for installing the apparatus can be minimized. Furthermore, the apparatus has a nip mechanism for clamping the forward end of the web, whereby the web roll can be delivered in a state where the forward end of the web is clamped.

    摘要： A spool for a coil of wire or other product includes a core about which a coil is wound and a housing disposed about the coil. The housing includes a pair of spaced disks to which the core is secured and a cylindrical section disposed between the outer peripheries of the spaced disks. The core consists of a tube and a connector which secures the tube to the disks, whereby the core is removable from the housing while leaving the coil intact within the housing. The two ends of the coil may be led to the center of the coil in such a manner that it is possible to carry out a continuous operation whereby the ends of one spool may be joined to the end of another spool, and this may be repeated as many times as necessary to join any number of spools as one continuous line so that as one coil is unwound, the next one automatically begins to unwind and so on down the line.
