    摘要: An averaging circuit for producing average boat speed and average apparent wind speed which in cooperation with average apparent wind direction are utilized to determine the performance characteristics of sailing boats. Instantaneous values of the speed parameters are sampled at a predetermined frequency and a running average of N samples is generated by adding the most recent sample and discarding the oldest sample at periodic intervals. Display of the wind speed is delayed with respect to the display of boat speed to compensate for the effect of the inertia of the boat.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for ship navigation information display system is disclosed including continuous sensing of at least two of the following parameters: the ship''s speed relative to the water, compass course, wind direction and speed and similar magnitudes of importance for sailing the ship. Signals corresponding to the measured parameters and a signal calculated from the speed signal and corresponding to the total distance travel, are converted into digital form and are fed into a number of temporary stores and selector circuits, from which dependent on the setting of manually operated switches, at least one of these signals for conversion to a signal suitable for display on a digital display, the conversion taking place digit by digit utilizing a time multiplex procedure under the control of a common display control circuit.

The DC potential is connected to a transistor through a selection switch to control a relay actuation when the DC potential value changes from a preselected range of values. A time-delay section in the circuit provides a time period between the potential value change and relay actuation.
