A radar system for determining a distance to another radar system includes a transceiver. The transceiver transmits a first Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave, FMCW, radar signal. The first FMCW radar signal includes a first sweep profile. The transceiver is receives a second FMCW radar signal. The second FMCW radar signal includes a second sweep profile which differs from the first sweep profile. The radar system further includes a mixer which generates a beat signal based on the first and second FMCW radar signals. The radar system further comprises a deskewing unit which deskews the beat signal by matching the sweep profiles of the first and second FMCW radar signals. Further a method for determining a distance between radar systems, a system for determining a distance between first and second radar systems and a method for determining a distance between first and second radar systems.

A system to acquire and track vehicles travelling in airspace, sea and land via a constellation of satellites. The system includes: (a) means for detecting a first signal from a vehicle; (b) a process for detecting anomaly from the first signal and determining whether it occurs inside or outside a first radar mode coverage area; (c) means for detecting a second signal from the vehicle under a first radar mode if the anomaly occurs inside its coverage area; (d) means for detecting a third signal from the vehicle under a second radar mode if the anomaly occurs outside the first radar mode coverage area; and (e) means for (i) refining the second or third signal from the vehicle under a third radar mode, such that the first, second, third and fourth detecting means are sequentially activated to detect the first, second and third signals by each satellite.

Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for radar processing based on a combination of analog beamforming, digital beamforming, and virtual arrays are described. In certain embodiments, a radar receiver receives signals simultaneously transmitted, i.e., concurrently, from a radar transmitter. Each transmitted signal corresponds to the same transmit signal, but with a respective phase being applied. The radar receiver generates, based on the received signals, a virtual array response corresponding to an array of virtual antennas. The virtual array response covers a subset of directions within a field of view to be scanned. In some embodiments, the transmissions from the radar transmitter are generated using analog beamforming, and the virtual array response generated using digital beamforming. In other embodiments, the transmissions from the radar transmitter are generated using digital beamforming, and the virtual array response generated using analog beamforming.

The device includes a receiver for receiving, from two radar devices, data relating to a target echo received by a radar antenna of one of the radar devices, and data relating to a target echo received by a radar antenna of the other radar device, the data being obtained from tracking the target echoes, respectively, a determiner for determining whether the target echoes indicate the same target object, an ID applier for applying the same ID to the target echoes when the determiner determines that the target echoes indicate the same target object, and a transmitter for transmitting the same IDs to the radar devices in order to inform whether the target echoes displayed by the radar devices, respectively, indicate the same target object.
