    摘要: In the novel method, before an electron-gun mount assembly is sealed into the neck of a CRT, at least the high-voltage electrodes and the adjacent portions of the focus electrodes are dipped into an aqueous solution consisting essentially of hydrogen peroxide and water. The solution contains substantially more than 10, and preferably about 30 to 50, weight percent of hydrogen peroxide.

    摘要: Disclosed is an electron gun comprising a cathode, a first apertured anode spaced from said cathode and operated at a potential of between 5 and 30 volts positive with respect to the cathode. The gun further comprises a second apertured anode spaced from the first anode and operating at a potential of between 100 and 400 volts positive with respect to the cathode to produce a lens field in the region between the anodes which focusses the electrons emitted from the cathode at a cross-over therebetween. The cross-section of the beam produced by the gun is determined by the size of the aperture in the second anode and the beam current may be varied by changing the voltage on the first anode to thereby move the cross-over closer to or further away from the second anode so that a larger or smaller portion, respectively, of the electrons in the beam passes through the aperture.

    摘要: The invention is directed to a picture tube comprising an electron gun installed within an evacuated envelope which receives various potentials supplied from a potential source. The electron gun comprises a cathode for generating an electron beam and a plurality of successively arranged electrodes for focusing and accelerating the electron beam. One or more supporting rod secures the electrodes. Each of the supporting rods comprises an insulator portion and a glass resistance portion. The glass resistance portion acts as a solid bulk resistor and secures in direct connection with at least one electrode of the electron gun. Consequently, potentials from the potential source are applied to certain electrodes through the glass resistance body. In a further embodiment the entire supporting rod consists of a homogeneous glass resistance body.
