    摘要: An enhanced piezoelectric wire structure includes an elongated portion of piezoelectric material, a metallic core, and an outer conductive sheath. The metallic core is substantially surrounded by the elongated portion of piezoelectric material and configured to function as a first electrode for the piezoelectric structure. The conductive outer sheath preferably covers selected areas of the elongated portion of piezoelectric material and functions as a second electrode for the structure. The piezoelectric material may correspond to barium titanate ceramic fibers, such that a lead-free structure is effected, however other piezoelectric materials may also be utilized. The disclosed structure can be poled with a reduced poling voltage and lower temperature level, and also requires a reduced voltage potential level required for mechanical actuation. A collection of such piezoelectric structures can be provided together in a modular patch assembly that may be formed in a variety of customized configurations for integration with various environments, and can function as a mechanical actuator device, a condition-responsive device (e.g., a sensor) and/or as a power generation device. When utilized as a power generation device, the subject piezoelectric assembly can power tire electronics components such as a revolution counter, a sensor, a rechargeable battery, a flashing light assembly, a microcontroller, a global positioning system (GPS), and a radio frequency (RF) device.

    摘要: The invention provides a defect inspecting apparatus and a defect detecting method for specifying a position of a defect before polarization when the defect is included in a coaxial flexible piezoelectric member. Further, when a piezoelectric tube is moved in polarization, a friction force is produced between the coaxial flexible piezoelectric member and a block-like conductor and therefore, a large force is needed in moving the piezoelectric tube. The invention provides a polarizing apparatus and a polarizing method capable of moving the piezoelectric tube even by a small force. There are provided a defect detecting apparatus of a coaxial flexible piezoelectric member having a constitution of applying a direct current to a coaxial flexible piezoelectric member while moving a piezoelectric tube arranged at a hole of inspecting electrode means and a marking apparatus for marking a defect portion. Thereby, when a defect is present at a portion thereof arranged at the hole of the inspecting electrode means, electricity is discharged at the defect portion and therefore, the defect portion can be specified and the mark can be attached to the defect portion. Further, a conductive block provided with a path portion of the piezoelectric tube is divided. By dividing the block-like conductor by a plural number, a friction force between the block-like conductor per divided one and the piezoelectric tube is reduced. Further, the piezoelectric tube can be moved by a small force by a pulley arranged at a fold back portion of the piezoelectric tube.

    摘要: Two kinds of pressure sensors using a piezoelectric composite comprising amorphous chlorinated polyethylene, crystalline chlorinated polyethylene and piezoelectric ceramic powder are disclosed. The first is a piezoelectric cable comprising an inner conductor of a metal helix, the volume within the metal helix is filled with fine insulating polymer fibers, a piezoelectric composite layer circumferentially surrounding the inner conductor, and an outer conductor of a metal film attached on a polymer membrane. The metal film is in contact with said composite layer but separated from the inner conductor and a protective jacket. The second type of pressure sensor is a planar sensor comprising a piezoelectric composite in a planar form sandwiched with conductors of two metal films attached on two polymer membranes, each metal film is in contact with the composite but separated from each other.
