摘要: The invention provides a defect inspecting apparatus and a defect detecting method for specifying a position of a defect before polarization when the defect is included in a coaxial flexible piezoelectric member. Further, when a piezoelectric tube is moved in polarization, a friction force is produced between the coaxial flexible piezoelectric member and a block-like conductor and therefore, a large force is needed in moving the piezoelectric tube. The invention provides a polarizing apparatus and a polarizing method capable of moving the piezoelectric tube even by a small force. There are provided a defect detecting apparatus of a coaxial flexible piezoelectric member having a constitution of applying a direct current to a coaxial flexible piezoelectric member while moving a piezoelectric tube arranged at a hole of inspecting electrode means and a marking apparatus for marking a defect portion. Thereby, when a defect is present at a portion thereof arranged at the hole of the inspecting electrode means, electricity is discharged at the defect portion and therefore, the defect portion can be specified and the mark can be attached to the defect portion. Further, a conductive block provided with a path portion of the piezoelectric tube is divided. By dividing the block-like conductor by a plural number, a friction force between the block-like conductor per divided one and the piezoelectric tube is reduced. Further, the piezoelectric tube can be moved by a small force by a pulley arranged at a fold back portion of the piezoelectric tube.

摘要: A system for generating electrical energy in a tire for a vehicle includes at least one piezoelectric element that generates electrical energy when deformed. The at least one piezoelectric element is associated with the tire and is elongate. The at least one piezoelectric element extends along at least a portion of the tire and is electrically connected to an electrical circuit. The electrical circuit is not in electrical communication with the vehicle. The tire is mounted on a rim of the vehicle. An associated tire is also disclosed.

摘要: Disposed within a float on the surface of a body of water is a vertically suspended, resilient piezoelectric element provided with a preselected strain by a hanging weight. The piezoelectric system functions as a weighted coiled spring which is driven into oscillation in response to movements of the float in response to passing surface waves. Preferably, the natural frequency of the system is selected in correspondence with the frequency of the passing waves for causing the system to oscillate in resonance with the passing waves. Additionally, a mechanism is provided for automatically adjusting the natural frequency of the system in response to changing wave conditions for maintaining the system in resonance with the waves.

摘要: A process for producing sufficient piezoelectric effect in plastic dielectric coaxial cable to obtain a highly sensitive linear strain transducer. The process combines a selected soak temperature profile with the application of high voltage DC to maximize sensitivity and uniformity. The plastic dielectric material exhibits a high level of piezoelectric activity when processed according to the invention so that, for example, the cable is sensitive to the passage of humans or vehicles when buried in the ground.

摘要: A piezoelectric body that is excellent in endurance, flexibility and bendability is achieved. A piezoelectric member includes: belt type first and second conductive rubber sheets that face each other; and a piezoelectric layer formed between an upper surface of the first conductive rubber sheet and a lower surface of the second conductive rubber sheet. The piezoelectric layer is made of a piezoelectric coating material with which at least either one of the upper surface of the first conductive rubber sheet and the lower surface of the second conductive rubber sheet is coated. When a pressure is applied to the piezoelectric layer through at least either one of the first conductive rubber sheet and the second conductive rubber sheet, a potential difference is generated between the first conductive rubber sheet and the second conductive rubber sheet.
