    Abstract: An agricultural trench depth sensing system having a trench implement adapted to be disposed in a soil trench opened in a soil surface. In one embodiment an ultrasonic sensor detects a distance to an upper surface of said trench implement or a target disposed thereon. In another embodiment, said trench implement includes one or more fingers which rotate with respect to said trench implement to detect the soil surface relative to said trench implement. In another embodiment, said trench implement includes side sensors for detecting the sidewall of the soil trench.

    Abstract: A sowing coulter for direct and/or mulch sowing includes a coulter body, a tear-open chisel fastened by a fastening device, and coulter blades laterally projecting from the tear-open chisel and provided with front cutting edges, which are arranged in order to create a sowing furrow in the ground. In order to change the penetration depth of the sowing coulter into the ground, the coulter blades are adjustable about a horizontal axis that extends transversely to the direction of travel, and that is fixable in different positions by way of an adjustment device arranged between the tear-open chisel and the coulter body.

    Abstract: A system for controlling an operation of a seed-planting implement includes a row unit frame and a residue removal device pivotably coupled to the row unit frame. Furthermore, the system includes a first sensor configured to capture data indicative of a position of the residue removal device relative to the row unit frame. Additionally, the system includes a computing system communicatively coupled to the first sensor, with the computing system configured to determine the position of the residue removal device relative to the row unit frame based on the data captured by the first sensor. Moreover, the computing system is configured to determine a field condition of a field across which the seed-planting implement is traveling based on the determined position of the residue removal device.

    Abstract: Described herein are air seeders that have force actuators acting on at least one of the firming implement and closing wheel to adjust for a specified downforce on at least one of the firming implement and the closing wheel. In one example, a seeding implement includes a support arm having a support arm first portion and a support arm second portion.     Abstract: A dual-disk seed meter for a planter may include a housing defining a first seed chamber configured to receive first seeds of a first seed type and a second seed chamber configured to receive second seeds of a second seed type. The seed meter may also include a first seed disk rotatable within the housing to convey the first seeds from the first seed chamber, a second seed disk rotatable within the housing to convey the second seeds from the second seed chamber, and a drive assembly configured to simultaneously rotate the first and second seed disks. In addition, the seed meter may include a seed deflector movable relative to the first seed disk and/or the second seed disk to control which of the seed types is discharged from the housing based on a selected seed type to be delivered by the seed meter.

    Abstract: A trailing assembly for an agricultural planter is attached to a frame element of the agricultural planter with a mounting bracket. A walking beam having a hub at an intermediate position along a length of the walking beam is pivotably attached to the mounting bracket. A first pair of arms extends from the hub in a first direction, with each arm configured with a shaft to rotatably and selectively receive a first rotating implement, for example, a closing wheel or a fertilizer opener disc. A second pair of arms extends from the hub in a second direction parallel to each other and spaced apart from each other. Distal ends of the second pair of arms are configured to rotatably and selectively receive and support opposing ends of an axle of another rotating implement, for example, a press wheel, positioned between the second set of arms.
