    摘要: A spill resistant container (e.g., a sippy cup) including a flow control element including a membrane defining multiple pinholes for controlling the flow of liquid through a drinking spout. The flow control element is mounted on a cover that screws onto a cup-shaped body such that the membrane is positioned between liquid stored in the cup-shaped body and the drinking spout, which is formed on the cap. The flow control element is formed from a suitable elastomeric material (e.g., soft rubber, thermoplastic elastomer, or silicone) such that the membrane stretches when subjected to a differential pressure. The pinholes are formed by puncturing the membrane using one or more pins having a substantially circular cross-section and sized such that each pinhole is closed by the surrounding elastomeric material when the pins are removed.

    摘要: A perforator for making perforations in a continuous film which is thereafter cut into individual filmstrips having variable lengths. A die set unit of the perforator has a plurality of punches and corresponding dies which are respectively arranged along the continuous film. The die set unit performs die-punching N times (N=1, 2, 3 . . . ) in every first section having a variable length Lx, and the measuring feeder transports the continuous film by a first length after each of (N-1) times die-punching and by a second length after the last die-punching for every first section. The first length is given as Lx/N, and the second length corresponds to the first length plus the length L2 of a second section disposed alternately with the first section along the continuous film. In alternative, the die set unit is constituted of first to nth die sets aligned in order from downstream to in the film transporting direction. The ith die set of the die sets has a number Gi (i=1, 2, . . . n) of punches as a segment of the total punches. The first to ith die sets are simultaneously activated to perform die-punching. The number is selected depending on the number F of frame exposure locations to be provided in each individual filmstrip.

    摘要: A cutting tool for cutting jacketed pipes and other cylindrical objects comprising a handle attached to a guide and a blade translatably and rotatably secured within the handle. The blade is mounted to a blade mounting assembly. The blade mounting assembly is biased towards the guide by a spring. Extension of the blade in the direction of the guide is limited by an engagement arm of the blade mounting assembly which may be placed in slots radiating in different directions in the free end of the handle. Thus, the blade may be securely positioned at differing amounts of extension and at differing angles with respect to the handle.

    摘要: A fluid diffuser includes an inner extruded tube and an outer extruded tube between which there is a woven fabric material tube. The diffuser includes pores formed by a non-ablative piercing process and being arranged to act as valves which are self-closing when fluid is not flowing through the diffuser. The woven fabric material is arranged to restrain diametral expansion of the inner and outer tubes and thereby restrain an increase in pore size as the pressure of fluid flowing through pores is increased. Thus, if the diffuser is used for diffusing air into water, the size of bubbles produced remains substantially constant as the pressure of air supplied to the diffuser is increased. Other diffusers are described which function in a similar manner, including a disc diffuser and tubular diffusers which are made of sheet material.

The engaging member is axially displaceable and rotatably driven independent of the cutting tool and includes a self-cutting threaded profile turned into the disk before starting the cutting operation of the cutting tool and engaging the disk by forming a thread by means of the self-cutting thread of the engaging member.

    摘要: A perforator has a rotary drum. A plurality of die sets are arranged at regular intervals around a peripheral surface of the drum and circulates along with the peripheral surface. Each of the die sets has a pair of die and punch. The die is secured to a die holder which is mounted to the peripheral surface, and the punch is secured to a punch holder which is linearly movable in a direction perpendicular to the peripheral surface between a punch position where the punch is fitted in the die and a retracted position where the punch is retracted away from the die. The sheet material is brought into contact with the peripheral surface within a predetermined range, and conveyed on the peripheral surface in the same direction at the same speed as the die sets. An annular punch drive cam disposed surrounding the peripheral surface drives the punch holder to move between the punch position and the retracted position. The punch or the sheet material is shifted into a relief position where the punch cannot interfere with the sheet material beyond the predetermined contact range of the sheet material with the peripheral surface.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a procedure for optimizing the processing of cutting material, such as textiles, leather and technical fabrics and the like, as well as to a device to perform the procedure. The cutting patterns (T1, T2, T3) are first contained in the main memory of a computer (1) and then are selected. The selected patterns are projected on a cutting material on a working surface (AF) in their original size by means of direct laser projection, possibly with different colors, and are also projected on a control panel (4) in a scaled down size. The laser projections of the individual patterns are then interlocked on the cutting material by means of a control unit (5) actuated by an operator (P) positioned next to the cutting material. The patterns are interlocked to optimize use of the cutting material by accounting for the conditions of the cutting material, such as defective spots (F1, F2, F3, F4), and the shape of the cutting material. Once the patterns are finally positioned, data on these positions is then transmitted to a cutting unit, such as an automated cutter (C), by an instruction given by the operator and the citing operation is triggered.
