摘要: A semi-trailer wheel restraint system having a bearing swivel and one or more cable sections and hub cab attachments for receipt into and through a hollow core of the trailer's axle. During a wheel bearing failure, the wheel restraint system keeps the loose wheel assembly near the end of the axle by anchoring it to the opposite-end's hub cap, thereby preventing a run-away wheel assembly and providing an operator of the truck an opportunity to safely stop the rig.

摘要: The present invention is directed to airless tires. Exemplary airless tires include a hub configured for attachment to an axle and includes a hub support extending away from the hub. Such exemplary airless tires also include a heel configured around the hub and connected at a distal end of the hub support, whereby the heel includes an elastomer base oriented in a ring around a circumference of the hub support. Such exemplary airless tires also include elastomeric tubes extending radially outward from the heel. Other exemplary airless tires include a centerless hub assembly configured for attachment to an axle and a heel configured around the centerless hub assembly. The heel in such exemplary airless tires includes an elastomer base oriented in a ring around a circumference of the centerless hub assembly. These other exemplary airless tires include elastomeric tubes extending radially outward from the heel.

摘要: In an aspect, a self-balancing two-wheeled vehicle is provided, having a body, and first and second wheels rotatably coupled to the body. The second wheel has at least one lateral roller rotatable about an axis that is one of oblique and orthogonal to a rotation axis of the second wheel. At least one motor is coupled to the second wheel to control rotation of the second wheel and the at least one lateral roller. At least one sensor is coupled to the body to generate orientation data therefor. A control module is coupled to the at least one motor to control operation thereof at least partially based on the orientation data generated by the at least one sensor.

摘要: Apparatus and methods for realigning and re-adhering a hanging tool-equipped crawler vehicle with respect to a non-level surface of a target object. When the cable-suspended crawler vehicle with suction devices is adhered to a non-level surface of a target object, it is possible for the crawler vehicle to detach from the surface and be left hanging from the end of the cable in a state. While hanging from the end of the cable in a misaligned state and not in contact with the target object, the crawler vehicle is unable to carry out a planned maintenance operation. Before the maintenance operation is resumed, the crawler vehicle is realigned with the surface of the target object using a turret, a rotating arm or a cam-shaped roll bar provided as equipment on the crawler vehicle and then re-adhered to the surface by activation of the suction devices.

A second actuator is configured to move the second driving wheel in a vertical direction to the ground according to a curvature of the ground, wherein the first and second driving wheels are configured to steer the caster wheel.
