    摘要: In an actuator having a coil disposed between yokes opposing to each other via a specified space, stepped portions are formed at the inner sides of two arms which support the coil, and at the stepped portion are formed through-holes whose diameter is gradually reduced from the bottom to top of the stepped portion. The coil and the arms are joined together by filling the stepped portions and through-holes with a holding member made up of resin. By this configuration, in an actuator used for a disk unit or the like, it is possible to completely secure a coil on a carriage while reducing the unit in thickness.

    摘要: A motor comprises a base to rotatably support a rotor and a ring-shaped magnet having a magnetic pole segment which is S-pole shaped and a magnetic pole segment which is N-pole and which are magnetized alternately in the circumferential direction. The ring-shaped magnet is fixed on the rotor. An armature core with a plurality of pole teeth is radially formed and a coil is wound up in each of the pole teeth. The armature core is mounted on the base so as to face an internal circumference of the ring-shaped magnet. First salient poles of the armature are included, the tip of the first salient pole faces the ring-shaped magnet through an opening in the circumferential direction. Second salient poles of the armature core extend in the circumferential direction from the tip of the second salient poles which face the ring-shaped magnet through an opening in the axial direction.

    摘要: A motor has plural through-holes punched on a top surface of its frame, and a cap made of magnetic material is placed at a place on a stator, where the place corresponding to the through-holes and spaced axially from the through-holes. An attracting magnet is placed outside the cap. This structure allows a bearing to hold its oil, and realizes to generate attracting force in an axial direction without adversely affecting driving-magnetic-circuits. As a result, an apparatus using this motor can be low-profile and run at a higher speed.

    摘要: An electric spindle motor for use in precision instruments such as hard disk drives comprises a stationary sub-assembly and a rotary sub-assembly movable relative to the stationary sub-assembly for carrying magnetic disks. The electric spindle motor has an integrated bearing system including a hydrodynamic journal bearing for providing desired radial load and a magnetic bearing for reducing friction resistance during staring/stopping and running of the electric spindle motor. The rotary sub-assembly is suspended from the stationary sub-assembly by the activation of the magnetic bearing during the rotating of the electric spindle motor. The electric spindle motor having integrated hydrodynamic journal bearing and magnetic bearing of the present invention is capable of high speed and high accuracy running, providing increased radial load and stiffness, and reduces the friction resistance therefore improves the performance and power saving.
