摘要: By pre-setting the hierarchical number in which the files should be retained to record it in a hierarchy designation section 9, upon initiating reception of a data broadcast program in a reception section 1, firstly a start file is acquired in a file acquisition preparation section 5, and retained in a file retention section 6. According to an anchor that is obtained by making a file analysis in a file analysis section 7, the linked files ranging from the start file from the file until a determined hierarchical number are acquired and retained. A trigger for broadcasting reception section 12 is directed from an ES supervisory section 10 so as to supervise ESs. In the event of making transition to a desired file, if a desired file is present within the files that have been retained in advance in the file retention section 6, a file transition section 14 makes the transition hereto.

摘要: Audio data and additional audio information multiplexed therewith and distributed are received by an integrated receiver decoder. The received audio data is separated and decoded by a received-signal processing section. The data is then sent to an external recording unit and recorded onto a recording medium. The received additional audio information is separated by the received-signal processing section. The title of a musical piece and performer information are sent to the external recording unit through a digital interface or an infrared interface, and written onto a predetermined area of the recording medium.

摘要: The invention relates to a subscriber for indicating liveness to a broker in a multicast publish/subscribe messaging system comprising the broker and a plurality of subscribers. The subscriber, having seen an indication of liveness, sets a timer. If the subscriber sees an indication of liveness prior to the expiry of the timer, then the subscriber cancels the timer. However if an indication of liveness is not seen by the subscriber prior to the expiry of its timer, then the subscriber sends its own indication of liveness to the broker.

摘要: Method and apparatus for identifying broadcast digital audio signals include structure and/or function whereby the digital audio signal is provided to processing structure which is configured to (i) identify a program-identifying code in the received digital audio signal, (ii) identify a program-identifying code in a decompressed received digital audio signal, (iii) identify a feature signature in the received digital audio signal, and (iv) identify a feature signature in the decompressed received digital audio signal. Preferably, such processing structure is disposed in a dwelling or a monitoring site in an audience measurement system, such as the Nielsen TV ratings system.

摘要: Pattern matching can be achieved by considering only the position numbers of a source pattern and a target pattern within ordered sequences of possible source patterns and target patterns respectively. The position numbers of source patterns containing the target pattern form a number of groups. The number of source patterns within each group and the number of source patterns in the gaps between groups depend on the position of the target pattern within the source pattern, the length of the target pattern and the number of elements in the alphabet set. Each group also has a position number, its position within an ordered sequence of groups. The group position number of an input source pattern is compared to a series derived from the position number of the target pattern, the length of the target pattern and the number of elements in the alphabet set (9). If the group position number is a member of the series (10), then the source pattern contains the target pattern (11). Pattern matching can be performed on uncoded data or on arithmetic coded data.
