    摘要: A holding device for a highlighter pen, comprising a holding case and a base. The holding case includes: a channel configured to receive the highlighter pen and having a first opening and a second; a gripping unit in the channel, configured to removably grip the highlighter pen; a chamber extending from the second end of the channel and configured to receive a tip of the highlighter pen, the chamber comprising a sealing unit configured to cooperate with the highlighter pen when the highlighter pen has traversed the sealing unit, to generate an airtight environment in which the tip of the highlighter pen is contained; at least one first magnet. The base has at least one second magnet, such that attraction between the at least one first magnet and the at least one second magnet makes the base removably joinable to the holding case.

    摘要: Display apparatus includes reflective layer with reflective material with stacks of additional layers thereon. Each stack has an optically switchable layer. Switching elements are on a side of the reflective layer opposite to the stacks or form part of the reflective layer. Each switching element applies heating to a switchable portion of the optically switchable layer to change appearance of the switchable portion when viewed from the viewing side of the display apparatus. The optically switchable layer includes phase change material switchable between stable states each having a different refractive index. The phase change material switches by applying heat between the stable states. Switching the optically switchable layer causes the apparatus to provide one or both of the following effects for incident radiation within a predetermined frequency range: (i) a change in reflectivity of a factor of at least 50; or (ii) a change in phase within 5% of nπ/2 radians, where n is an integer.

    摘要: A method of designing at least an area of a printed image in a security feature is provided. The security feature comprises an array of optical elements overlaying the printed image. The method comprises designing an icon matrix comprising rows and columns of pixels having pixel values representing an icon to be viewed by a user of the security feature; determining a desired gap size to provide a desired magnification of the icon; generating an array of two dimensional matrices of pixels, wherein the array comprises a sequence of repeated sets of matrices, wherein each set comprises a first number of matrices of a first type having a first size and a second number of matrices of a second type having a second size, wherein the matrix of the first type and the matrix of the second type are based on the icon matrix, and wherein the first number, second number, first size, and second size are selected such that, the mean size of each matrix within the set deviates from the modal matrix size by the desired gap size. A printed image for a security feature is also provided.

    摘要: The invention relates to a mask exposure method comprising the following steps:—the providing of a carrier substrate; the print application of a radiation-crosslinkable washable dye layer to the full area of the carrier substrate;—the exposure of the radiation-crosslinkable washable dye layer in defined regions to radiation by means of a radiation mask, such that the washable dye is cured in the defined regions;—the applying of a metallization over the full area;—the removing of the non-radiation-exposed washable dye outside the defined regions together with the metal present thereon with the aid of a solvent, such that the resultant carrier substrate has cured washable dye with metal applied thereto only in defined regions.
