摘要： A closable pouch is provided with first and second webs secured together partially around an interior portion. Each web has at least one generally straight end edge defining a portion of the pouch opening. An adhesive sealing strip is disposed on the first web parallel with and spaced from the first web one end edge thereby defining a first fold line along the margin of the strip that is parallel to and nearest the first web one end edge and defining a second fold line along a margin of the strip that is parallel to and furthest from the first web one end edge. Folding of the webs together away from the first web about the first fold line, then about the second fold line, and finally about a third fold line in registry with the repositioned first fold line orients the adhesive sealing strip against an adjacent region of the second web to form a closure seal in the pouch.

摘要： An improved cushioned shipping bag is disclosed, together with a unique method of continuously making the bags. The improved bag protects objects from being damaged when they are transported, shipped, handled or sent in the mail. A continuous layer of foamed plastic sheet material is positioned on and affixed (laminated) to a continuous layer of relatively thin sheet material. The laminated layers are then folded with the foamed plastic sheet material positioned on the inside; the folded laminated layers are subsequently heat sealed, glued or the like together at predetermined positions along the continuous laminate. The cushioned bag blanks subsequently are cut from the continuous laminate. In this manner, three sides of the objects to be shipped. The open end of the bag is provided with a foldable flap which is used to seal the bag after the objects are placed inside it.

摘要： A cigarette packet of a laminated sheeting is disclosed which comprises an outer, thermally-bonded weldable layer, and wherein the end flaps of the blank forming the packet are joined to each other and project beyond the end sides. The end flaps are folded in such a way that an inner, longitudinal end flap bears on the packet contents, and two side end flaps are folded on this longitudinal end flap, and a second outer longitudinal end flap on the side of the first inner longitudinal end flap. The particular improvement disclosed utilizes a laminated foil having on both sides an outer thermally bondable layer, which extends over the entire end face of the layer and along an edge turned toward the edge of the inner longitudinal end flap. The side end flaps are joined at their diagonals along a welding strip which extends on a diagonal fold line adjoining the weld strip which extends along the length of the end face.

摘要： A tape comprising two layers of flexible sheet material bonded together by pressure-sensitive adhesive. The outer surfaces of the sheet material are coated with a permanent-type adhesive such as a heat seal material. The tape is sealed between facing members of a flexible pouch adjacent one edge. A tear strip is provided for tearing open the pouch and removing the portion of one of the facing members bonded to one side of the tape. At least a portion of the pressure-sensitive adhesive remains with the other side of the tape bonded to the other facing member of the closure. This other facing member can be folded over and adhered to the outside of the package by means of the remaining pressure-sensitive adhesive.
