摘要： A method of sealing an ammunition cartridge during an ammunition manufacturing process. The method including providing a cartridge case having a projectile receiving mouth with an inner surface and applying a thin circumferential film of a liquid light curable sealant to the inner surface. A cured thin circumferential film is formed by curing the thin circumferential film of liquid light curable sealant using an effective curing light from an optical light spectrum. A projectile is inserted into the mouth of the cartridge case with the cured thin circumferential film forming an air and moisture impermeable seal between the inner surface and the projectile.

摘要： A cartridge casing having an open neck at one axial end and a closed rear portion at the other axial end to form an interior cavity for propellant. A projectile within the open neck to seal the cavity so the bullet is released when the propellant is primed and ignited. The projectile has a proximate end releasably secured within the neck of the casing facing the cavity and exposed to the forces generated by ignited propellant. The remote end of the projectile is formed by a lead core while the proximate end has a transverse surface and is at least partially formed of an amorphous metallic alloy having properties of bulk metallic glass (BMG). Liquid metal alloy can also be used at the interface of a propellant chamber in a bore of a cannon and a cartridge-free projectile.

摘要： The invention relates to ammunition for firearms, as smooth and a rifled barrel. 摘要： A low energy mechanical operating cartridge has an inner regulator core (13) supporting a projectile (21) slidably engaged in a primer casing (19). The regulator core acts to control the velocity at which the projectile is propelled from a firearm (61), and the primer casing carries the explosive propellant (25) necessary to generate the required energy to launch the projectile. To improve the operation of the cartridge and ejection of the cartridge from the firearm, the primer casing is configured to efficiently slide on the regulator core in a rearward recoil action, while robust gas seals are maintained between the casing and regulator core.

摘要： A slug assembly is disclosed which is easily reloadable and which has enhanced features for achieving an accurate and dependable flight path when fired from a firearm. The slug assembly includes a hull, a projectile assembly, and a wad assembly, wherein the projectile assembly and wad assembly are secured within a cavity formed in the hull. The wad assembly includes an overpowder cup having a predetermined volume for receiving, measuring and retaining in the hull cavity a predetermined quantity of propulsive charge. The projectile assembly includes a break away area having a predetermined tensile strength such that the projectile assembly is structurally weakest at the break away area, wherein at a predetermined time after ignition of the propulsive charge inside the hull, the projectile assembly tears at the break away area. The present invention includes the slug assembly, and also includes the hull, the projectile assembly, and the wad assembly which comprise the slug assembly.
