Abstract:
The present invention relates to a handover method that a current coordinator transfers a coordinating function of controlling a network to a different device configuring the network. The present invention relates to a method of selecting an optimal device as a coordinator in selecting the different device using priority information decided by a prescribed evaluation reference. And, the present invention relates to a method of simplifying a procedure in a manner of transmitting relevant information together with a handover request message. In a wireless network including a coordinator, a secondary coordinator is decided in advance. If the coordinator is suddenly unable to perform a function, the present invention relates to a method of enabling the function of the coordinator to be performed by the decided secondary coordinator. Thus, a process for transferring the coordinating function without the handover process is called a recovery process. The present invention relates to the recovery method and a method of deciding a secondary coordinator to perform a recovery. In the method of deciding the secondary coordinator, a method of deciding a more proper coordinator using information on coordinator priority is provided.
Abstract:
A method of allocating channel resources in a wireless network is disclosed. The method of allocating instant channel resources in a wireless network includes receiving channel resource scheduling information of a specific superframe from a coordinator of the wireless network, requesting the coordinator to allocate instant channel resources for an unreserved duration of the specific superframe, and receiving an announcement message from the coordinator, the announcement message announcing allocation of the instant channel resources within the unreserved duration of the specific superframe.
Abstract:
In wireless network communication, the present invention provides a method of checking whether information on a request for a mode change is received for a prescribed channel time in a manner that a device configuring a network enters a power save mode in the course of not performing data transmission/reception and that a modem enters an awake state from a sleep state for the prescribed channel time. And, the prescribed channel time is determined to correspond to a time for transmitting a beacon. According to one preferred embodiment of the present invention, a modem of a device in a power save mode enters an awake state for a channel time period for broadcasting a beacon and then checks whether information on a power management mode change is received. If the information does not exist, a sleep state is reentered. If the power management mode change information is received, a power is managed by performing data transmission/reception in a manner of switching to a normal mode.
Abstract:
A present invention is related to a method for transmitting a data packet in a wireless network. An exemplary method comprises requesting to allocate a bi-directional channel time block including a first channel time block for transmitting a specific data packet and a second channel time block for receiving a response to the specific data packet; transmitting the specific data packet through the first channel time block; and receiving the response to the specific data packet through the second channel time block, wherein the bi-directional channel time block is predetermined to be allocated in an unreserved region in a superframe.
Abstract:
The present invention related to a method in which a transmitting device transmits a packet in a wireless network, wherein said method comprises: a step of receiving, from an upper layer, video data divided into a plurality of slices and compressed into one or more types of layers; a step of constructing a MAC packet such that information on the types of said one or more layers of the video data is included in a MAC header of the MAC packet; and a step of delivering the MAC packet to a lower layer to transmit the MAC packet to a receiving device.
Abstract:
A method of controlling the power consumption of a wireless station is disclosed. The present invention includes waking-up a coordinator in a sleep state, entering an awake state and if a signal for turning on a peripheral station is received in the awake state, transmitting an awake message to the peripheral station via a beacon signal during a beacon timeslot. Accordingly, the power consumption of a coordinator in a WPAN network may be reduced, power control by a peripheral station may be facilitated, and inefficient operation and management of the network may be prevented.
Abstract:
A method of exchanging messages for link recommendation in a receiving device of a wireless network comprises receiving a first data packet from a transmitting device; and transmitting link recommendation information to the transmitting device, the link recommendation information including transmit power control (TPC) information for controlling transmission power to be used for a second data packet in the transmitting device.
Abstract:
Relating to a home network system, methods for configuring sessions in a home network system and setting up optimized paths of the configured sessions and apparatuses for supporting the same. According to an embodiment, the method for computing a routing path includes the steps of transmitting a Link Status Request message data requesting Link information from a first device to a second device, receiving a Link Notify message including Link information on the second device from the second device, updating a Link Status table based upon the Link information on the second device, computing Routing Path information from a source device to a sink device based upon the Link Status table, and computing information on a transmission port being used in the routing path based upon the Routing Path information.
Abstract:
A method of exchanging messages at a device in a wireless network comprises transmitting a change request message for requesting a change of a beacon position among configuration parameters of the wireless network to a coordinator; and receiving a response message in response to the request message from the coordinator.
Abstract:
A method of exchanging messages, which are intended for streaming connection with a source device, in a sink device of a wireless network comprises transmitting a connect request message for data streaming to the source device; receiving a connect response message from the source device, the connect response message including connection information indicating the possibility of connection with the source device; and outputting a user interface indicating at least one of the connection information included in the connect response message and wait time information required for connection with the source device, on a display module.
