Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for checking whether a presently active automated and/or assisted driving mode of a first vehicle, which travels along a travel route by way of the driving mode, is being operated within an operational design domain (ODD) boundary of an ODD of the driving mode, wherein a measurement of ODD features marking the ODD boundary is carried out in an environment of the first vehicle by way of at least one environment sensor. The measurement is carried out by way of at least one second vehicle driving ahead of the first vehicle on the travel route, and is carried out by a back-end server that couples the at least one second vehicle to the first vehicle via respective communication links, wherein measured ODD features are gathered, and/or an ODD monitoring routine is carried out.

Abstract: The disclosure is concerned with a method for operating a personal digital assistance system, wherein the method comprises that a processing circuit performs the step of receiving a search query expressed by a user for requesting answer data as an answer to the search query. The search query concerns a travel route and/or a specific travel destination and/or a point of interest, POI. The method is characterized in that in a selection step the processing circuit selects at least one of several selectable retrieval systems as the respective best retrieval system to which feature data of the search query are to be sent for obtaining the answer data.

Abstract: According to a method for self-localization of a vehicle, a first pose of the vehicle is determined. Environment sensor data are generated by means of an environment sensor device and on the basis of this a landmark is detected in the environment. A position of the landmark is determined and in dependence on this a second pose of the vehicle is determined. A memorized assignment instruction is consulted, matching up the first pose with at last one preferred sensor type or at least one dominant landmark type, and depending on this a first portion of the environment sensor data is selected that was generated by means of a first environment sensor system of the environment sensor device configured according to a first sensor type. For the detecting of the landmark, a first landmark detection algorithm is applied to the first portion of the environment sensor data.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for checking the fitness of a driver to drive a motor vehicle (10) and to a motor vehicle (10) for carrying out a method of this kind. The method comprises the following steps: identifying (S1) a transition signal (38) from a highly automated driving mode to a less automated driving mode; receiving (S2) a request signal (40) and outputting (S3) a request (42) characterized by the transmitted request signal (40) in the motor vehicle (10); capturing (S4) a response signal (44) which comprises a response (46) of the driver to the request (42); determining (S5) a fitness-to-drive value (48) which quantifies the driver's fitness to drive by evaluating the response signal (44) while applying a specified evaluation criterion (50), wherein it is checked whether the response signal (44) describes an expected response (52) associated with the request signal (40); checking (S6) whether the fitness-to-drive value (48) determined is greater than a specified fitness-to-drive limit value (54); and, if this is the case, permitting (S7) a manual intervention by the driver in the longitudinal and/or lateral control of the motor vehicle (10).
