Abstract: In various examples, object fence corresponding to objects detected by an ego-vehicle may be used to determine overlap of the object fences with lanes on a driving surface. A lane mask may be generated corresponding to the lanes on the driving surface, and the object fences may be compared to the lanes of the lane mask to determine the overlap. Where an object fence is located in more than one lane, a boundary scoring approach may be used to determine a ratio of overlap of the boundary fence, and thus the object, with each of the lanes. The overlap with one or more lanes for each object may be used to determine lane assignments for the objects, and the lane assignments may be used by the ego-vehicle to determine a path or trajectory along the driving surface.

Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a sensor disposed at a vehicle and having a field of sensing exterior of the vehicle. The sensor captures sensor data. Electronic circuitry of an electronic control unit (ECU) includes a processor for processing sensor data captured by the sensor. Responsive to the vehicle being parked, captured sensor data is processed at the ECU to determine a topography of the environment at the parked vehicle. The ECU, responsive to determining the topography at the parked vehicle determines presence of a hazard of the topography. The ECU, responsive to determining presence of the hazard, notifies an occupant of the vehicle of the hazard prior to the occupant exiting the parked vehicle.

Abstract: A lane pricing technique for charging a mobile body traveling on a road for use of a lane is provided. Abstract: A method and system for determining a geographical location and orientation of a vehicle travelling through a road network is disclosed. The method comprises obtaining, from one or more cameras associated with the vehicle travelling through the road network, a sequence of images reflecting the environment of the road network on which the vehicle is travelling, wherein each of the images has an associated camera location at which the image was recorded. A local map representation representing an area of the road network on which the vehicle is travelling is then generated using at least some of the obtained images and the associated camera locations. The generated local map representation is compared with a section of a reference map, the reference map section covering the area of the road network on which the vehicle is travelling, and the geographical location and orientation of the vehicle within the road network is determined based on the comparison. Methods and systems for generating and/or updating an electronic map using data obtained by a vehicle travelling through a road network represented by the map are also disclosed.
