Abstract:
A modular synthetic grass playing surface system formed from a plurality of modular units. Each modular unit has a synthetic grass layer placed upon predetermined sized pallets having a pre-installed elastomeric layer. A layer of resilient particle infill is optionally introduced to the top surface of the modular unit. A corrugated plastic sleeve is optionally installed around each formed modular unit while the modular unit is stored and moved. A plurality of modular units are then installed onto a relatively flat surface to form the playing surface in a desired shape and size.
Abstract:
The present invention provides angiogenesis inhibitor compounds comprising a MetAP-2 inhibitory core coupled to a peptide, as well as pharmaceutical compositions comprising the angiogenesis inhibitor compounds and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The present invention also provides methods of treating an angiogenic disease, e.g., cancer, in a subject by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of one or more of the angiogenesis inhibitor compounds of the invention.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a series of plates for distributing a molten polymer composition, the series of plates includes at least two plates: a first plate that includes an upper surface, a lower surface, and a plurality of polymer distribution channels connecting the upper surface and the lower surface. In certain illustrated embodiments, the plurality of polymer distribution channels consist essentially of substantially horizontal channels at one or both the upper surface and lower surface and substantially linear downwardly sloping channels connecting the substantially horizontal channels at the upper surface to the substantially horizontal channels at the lower surface, the upper surface to the substantially horizontal channels at the lower surface or the substantially horizontal channels at the upper surface to lower surface; and a second plate that includes an upper surface, a lower surface, and a plurality of polymer distribution channels connecting the upper surface and the lower surface wherein the plurality of polymer distribution channels consist essentially of substantially horizontal channels at one or both the upper surface and lower surface and substantially linear downwardly sloping channels connecting the substantially horizontal channels at the upper surface to the substantially horizontal channels at the lower surface, the upper surface to the substantially horizontal channels at the lower surface or the substantially horizontal channels at the upper surface to lower surface.
Abstract:
A method of maintaining a die system for the extrusion of polymer permits external cleaning and maintenance without shutting down the operation. Removable die inserts are located on one or both sides of the die opening section through which polymer is extruded. The inserts are spaced from the die opening section, by a very small distance, so as to avoid interfering with the opening section. When molten polymer accumulates and burns in areas surrounding the die opening section, the inserts can be removed and replaced without interrupting the extrusion of polymer.
Abstract:
This invention is directed to the pharmaceutical use of phenyl compounds, which are linked to an aryl moiety by various linkages, for inhibiting tumor necrosis factor. The invention is also directed to the compounds, their preparation and pharmaceutical compositions containing these compounds. Furthermore, this invention is directed to the pharmaceutical use of the compounds for inhibiting cyclic AMP phosphodiesterase.
Abstract:
A patient fluid collection system is disclosed which includes a fluid collection reservoir, a cover for the reservoir, and a port on the reservoir having a scalloped upper edge. The scalloped upper edge prevents the port from being inadvertently closed off in the event that a tube valve containing a flapper valve is improperly positioned on the port.
