In an embodiment, the invention includes a method for generating a negative control probe sequence for an array including randomly generating a plurality of candidate negative control probes, screening the candidate negative control probes for sequence similarity to biologically occurring sequences, and screening the candidate negative control probes for one or more of base composition properties, primary structural features, secondary structural features, or thermodynamic characteristics. In an embodiment, the invention includes an apparatus for generating a negative control sequence for an array. The apparatus including a memory store and a programmable circuit in electrical communication with the memory store, the programmable circuit programmed to randomly generate a plurality of candidate probe sequences, screen the candidate probe sequences for sequence similarity to biologically occurring sequences, and screen the candidate probe sequences for one or more of base composition properties, primary structural features, secondary structural features, or thermodynamic characteristics.

In one aspect, logical blocks that were extracted from the electronic document, including a text block comprising text lines each encompassed by a respective bounding rectangle, are received. Edges of ones of the bounding rectangles are extended to at least one boundary without changing layout relationships among the logical blocks in the electronic document. A text layout boundary is generated from extended and unextended edges of the bounding rectangles. A description of the text layout boundary is stored in a machine-readable medium.

摘要： A connector assembly for a planar sensing element of an exhaust gas sensor is shown, with a method for assembling. There is an opposed pair of ceramic clamshells which retain terminals, each terminal mates to corresponding contact pads of the planar sensing element. A spacer is positioned between clamshells and a seal. A retainer clip binds the ceramic clamshells. These components are contained within an upper shield, upon assembly. The spacer creates a hinge point between the clamshell devices, allowing insertion of the sensing element without abrasion or scraping of the contact pads against the terminals The retainer clip, with radially extending tabs, keeps the opposed pair of ceramic clamshells under compression upon the sensing element when assembled, due to an interference fit with the upper shield of the sensor.

A user locates a remote server that hosts a file to be downloaded to the file depository using a web browser. A download request is submitted to the download queue, wherein the download queue is executed to download the file into the file depository. The system checks remote FTP sites and updates its file depository at specific intervals set by users and downloads the latest version of its file and archives old versions. The system allows users to upload files from the file depository to remote servers and updates the file depository if the file transfer was successful. All file transfer history for downloads/uploads may be viewable by client users.

In another preferred embodiment, the second element is a ceramic element, preferably with a noble metal conductive pad thereon, to which the metal element is attached.
