Abstract: A rechargeable sachet for scenting articles of apparel, the sachet being in a snake-like form so that it may be coiled or knotted about a post or rod in a clothes closet, or placed in a drawer in any desired shape. The sachet includes a permeable fabric sleeve having stuffed therein a flexible core of absorbent material having wicking properties. Within one end of the sleeve is a non-permeable socket which receives the corresponding end of the core, the base of the socket being provided with a projecting plug having an axial bore therein from which is extended a dip tube. The plug is inserted into the mouth of a squeeze bottle containing a reserve supply of liquid fragrance. The core is initially impregnated with a charge of the same liquid fragrance which, as it evaporates, is diffused through the sleeve into the closet or drawer to scent the clothing housed therein. When this initial charge is dissipated, the core may be recharged by squeezing the bottle end of the sleeve to inject liquid fragrance into the core end, the liquid being then wicked throughout the body of the core.

Abstract: A player for a pre-recorded sound magnetic tape package in a cartridge or a cassette format in which each package is united with a three-dimensional character thematically related to the recording and animated thereby. The character is provided with eye and mouth openings covered by translucent elements. Housed in the character are light guides extending from the eye and mouth elements to a common optical inlet. When the package is inserted in the player to effect actuation thereof, the character is then at an erect position thereabove and the optical inlet is then in registration with a light outlet on the player behind which is a light bulb connected to the audio output thereof. As the recorded sound is reproduced, the light emitted by the bulb is modulated in accordance therewith. The resultant light pulses are conveyed by the guides to the eye and mouth elements to impart animation to the character in synchronism with the reproduced sound.

Abstract: A collapsible and portable screen assembly which is capable when erected of acting either as a rear or front projection screen in conjunction with a slide or movie projector. The assembly is constituted by a flexible sheet of thin translucent synthetic plastic material having white pigment incorporated therein, the sheet surface being embossed to define myriad reflective facets. The sheet is framed within a continuous tubular loop having a rectangular formation and provided with a valve permitting inflation or deflation thereof. When the loop is inflated, the sheet assumes a planar form and functions either as a reflective diffuser for front projection or as a transmissive diffuser for rear projection. When the loop is deflated, the assembly may be folded into a compact package.

Abstract: A portable emergency oxygen supply which may be carried without difficulty by a user and is safe under all conditions. The supply includes a canister containing oxygen-rich gas at relatively low pressure, the canister having a normally-closed valve which is provided with an actuating switch. The valve output is coupled by a feed tube to the interior of an inflatable bellows which is attached to and communicates with a face mask whereby the user is able to repeatedly inhale and exhale the volume of gas enclosed in the bellows, in the course of which he depletes the oxygen contained therein. The oxygen in the bellows is intermittently replenished by operating the switch so that the available oxygen in the canister is fully utilized.

Abstract: A face mask is connected via a tube to a housing containing an ultraviolet (UV) light-emitting diode (LED) in a channel. A power source is connected to the UV LED. The channel is helical in shape and has undulations, so as to maximize the amount time the air is subjected to the UV radiation. The housing rear face has a fins to allow the heat from the LEDs to dissipate through the fins during use. This arrangement protects the user and others from excessive UV exposure and heat during use.

Abstract: A bandage is formed of a film layer, an adhesive applied to the film layer, and an absorbent layer connected to the film layer. The absorbent layer comprises a compressed fabric. A plurality of microneedles are disposed within the absorbent layer, each microneedle having an end that extends through the absorbent layer and is configured to penetrate a wound when the bandage is applied over the wound. An antimicrobial agent disposed within the bandage and in communication some of the microneedles, so that upon application of the bandage to the wound, the antimicrobial agent is transported though said microneedles to the wound. The microneedles not in communication with the microbial agent are configured to transport fluid from the wound to the absorbent layer.

Abstract: Systems and methods of measuring feet and designing and creating orthopedic inserts are described. A leg length discrepancy of a user is measured and this data, along with foot size are input into a computer. The computer then creates a computer model of a custom shoe insert based on this information. The computer model is then sent to a 3D printer to print the insert. The insert consists of a base insert with partial correction, and several additional layers that are added successively over time until a full correction is obtained. This eliminates any pain associated with a fully corrective insert, and allows the body to adjust gradually to the correction.

Abstract: A device and method for treating disease involves inserting a scope into a patient's body, the scope having a light source, a camera and a cartridge connected thereto. The cartridge has two chambers separated by membrane, a first one of the chambers containing a virus, and a second one of the chambers being connected to a plurality of microneedles configured for extending into the patient's tissue upon insertion of the scope. Cells from the patient are removed via suction from the microneedles and are deposited in the second chambers. The membrane is then broken to mix the virus with the cells to infect the cells, and the infected cells are then transported back into the patient to treat the disease.
