Abstract: Embodiments include a system for determining cardiovascular information for a patient. The system may include at least one computer system configured to receive patient-specific data regarding a geometry of the patient's heart, and create a three-dimensional model representing at least a portion of the patient's heart based on the patient-specific data. The at least one computer system may be further configured to create a physics-based model relating to a blood flow characteristic of the patient's heart and determine a fractional flow reserve within the patient's heart based on the three-dimensional model and the physics-based model.

Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for outputting augmented reality information to a first user. In an embodiment, the method includes acquiring first information, including image information, depth information, coordinate information and combinations thereof, the first information relating to at least one of a medical device and a medical examination of a patient; creating the augmented reality information, relating to the medical device and/or the medical examination of the patient, based on the first information; and outputting the augmented reality information such that the augmented reality information is perceivable in a field of view of the first user.

Abstract: Systems and methods for virtual reality or augmented reality (VR/AR) visualization of 3D medical images using a VR/AR visualization system are disclosed. The VR/AR visualization system includes a computing device operatively coupled to a VR/AR device, and the VR/AR device includes a holographic display and at least one sensor. The holographic display is configured to display a holographic image to an operator. The computing device is configured to receive at least one stored 3D image of a subject's anatomy and at least one real-time 3D position of at least one surgical instrument. The computing device is further configured to register the at least one real-time 3D position of the at least one surgical instrument to correspond to the at least one 3D image of the subject's anatomy, and to generate the holographic image comprising the at least one real-time position of the at least one surgical instrument overlaid on the at least one 3D image of the subject's anatomy.

Abstract: An integral laser imaging and treatment apparatus, and associated systems and methods that allow a physician (e.g., a surgeon) to perform laser surgical procedures on an eye structure or a body surface with an integral laser imaging and treatment apparatus disposed at a first (i.e. local) location from a control system disposed at a second (i.e. remote) location, e.g., a physician's office. In some embodiments, communication between the integral laser imaging and treatment apparatus and control system is achieved via the Internet®. Also, in some embodiments, the laser imaging and treatment apparatus is further configured to provide photodynamic therapy to a patient.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an ultrasound flow imaging method and ultrasound imaging system. The system may include a probe, a transmitting circuit which may excite the probe to transmit volume ultrasound beams to the scanning target, a receiving circuit 4, and a beam forming unit which may receive the echoes of the volume ultrasound beams and obtain the volume ultrasound echo signals, a data processing unit which may obtain the flow velocity vector information of the target point in the scanning target and the three-dimensional ultrasound image data based on the volume ultrasound echo signals, and a stereoscopic display device which may display the three-dimensional ultrasound image data to form the spatial stereoscopic image of the scanning target and superimposes the flow velocity vector information in the spatial stereoscopic image.

Abstract: A system for biomechanical analysis of user posture and automatic customized manufacture of bicycle parts includes a servo-assisted simulator having a handlebar, a saddle, pedal cranks, and actuators, a device detecting input data that includes a 3D scanner for automatically detecting the position of body segments of the user and the angular ranges therebetween and generating three-dimensional physical data units, an electronic platform detecting pressure data of the user, a pair of insoles detecting plantar pressure, a computer connected to the actuators and to the detection device, a memory unit storing optimized initial data and instantaneous data, software comparing the optimized initial data and the instantaneous data and generating final data of the characteristics of the main parts, a spatial representation device spatially representing the final data, and a device for immediate manufacture of the parts using 3D printers. A method of biomechanical analysis and custom manufacture of bicycle parts.

Abstract: Teleoperation systems and methods for use during a surgical procedure. The teleoperation system comprises a surgical tool and a master input device for being moved by a user. A slave device is coupled to the surgical tool and responsive to movement of the master input device. The slave device is configured to be operated in a first mode or a second mode. In the first mode, the surgical tool is placed in a desired pose with respect to a target region in response to a manual force applied to the slave device. In the second mode, the surgical tool is manipulated during the surgical procedure in response to movement of the master input device by the user. A visual indicator is coupled to the surgical tool or the slave device to emit light in the second mode to provide visual information to the user in the second mode.

Abstract: A surgical apparatus includes a surgical device, configured to be manipulated by a user to perform a procedure on a patient, and a computer system. The computer system is programmed to implement control parameters for controlling the surgical device to provide at least one of haptic guidance to the user and a limit on user manipulation of the surgical device, based on a relationship between an anatomy of the patient and at least one of a position, an orientation, a velocity, and an acceleration of a portion of the surgical device, and to adjust the control parameters in response to movement of the anatomy during the procedure.
