Abstract: The present technology pertains to a organization directory hosted by a synchronized content management system. The corporate directory can provide access to user accounts for all members of the organization to all content items in the organization directory on the respective file systems of the members' client devices. Members can reach any content item at the same path as other members relative to the organization directory root on their respective client device. In some embodiments novel access permissions are granted to maintain path consistency.

Abstract: An example method can include storing, on a CSM, a first content item and representations of second and third content items, the second content item having content/features enabled by a cloud service and designed for access through a native online application and the third content item having content/features supported by a local application and having additional features designed for access through a cloud service and native online application; when the first content item is invoked, presenting the content/features of the first content item; in response to a request to access the representation of the second or third content item, sending, to a cloud service, a request for the additional features of the third content item or the content/features of the second content item; and based on metadata received from a cloud service, providing the additional features/content of the third content item or the content/features of the second content item.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method of sharing files between a link sharer and a link recipient over a network. A folder sharing link is generated in response to a request by a link sharer, where the link provides a link recipient the ability to modify the contents of the folder. In response to receiving an indication that the generated link has been activated by a link recipient, the system either automatically grants modification rights to the folder or requests manual approval from the link sharer to grant modification rights to the link recipient. Once modification rights have been granted, the system adds the shared folder to the link recipient's account within the context of a document management system.

Abstract: A content management system for collecting files from one or more authenticated submitters in a collection folder. A collector, who generates the collection folder, can invite one or more submitters to submit one or more files to the collection folder. The one or more submitters have limited rights to the collection folder. The limited rights can include uploading rights and prohibiting a submitter from viewing files that other submitters associated with the collection folder submitted. Thus, the collection folder is able to store files from the one or more submitters, but prevent them from viewing other's submissions.

Abstract: A consistency verification system that verifies data consistency in a content item management system. The system maintains a plurality of verifiers for checking data consistency, each verifier comprising instructions for verifying consistency for a type of requests. The system may verify the original request by selecting a verifier from the plurality of verifiers based on a type of the original request. Using the selected verifier, the consistency verification system may send verification requests to the content item management system at a second timestamp that is a period of time after the original timestamp. The system may determine whether the second response is consistent with the first response. If the responses are not consistent, the system may output information describing data inconsistency. If the responses are consistent, the system may output results and perform further verifications to help ensure data accuracy.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems and methods that efficiently and effectively generate and utilize collections of content items. For example, systems and methods described herein generate a collection content item including one or more content item references. In one or more embodiments, the collection content item can include content item references for content items located internally or externally, with granular levels of permissions settings and version controls. Additionally, in response to a detected selection of a content item reference, systems and methods described herein generate a rendering of the associated content item that can be viewed regardless of any third party software installed on the viewing client computing device.

Abstract: The present technology pertains to a link service that can create, maintain, and service links to objects on behalf of a content management system or other services. The link service can share administration of links with other services when desired or can even allow other services to issue the link and manage the object that is the subject of the link while providing other functions to support the link. Additionally, link service can interface with a file system that can support links as actors in the file system, whereby greater control and flexibility in supporting links is provided. Link service can also accommodate servicing and management of links issued by legacy services, where the legacy services have unique link logic that should still be utilized to maintain a consistent user experience.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for identifying and recommending team members for target users from a content management system utilizing a machine learning approach. In particular, the disclosed systems can generate a set of candidate team members from among users of the content management system based on various factors such as access to a common digital content item. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems further determine recommended team members from among the set of candidate team members. For example, the disclosed systems can utilize a machine learning approach to generate or predict recommended team members based on particular features extracted or determined for, or with respect to, the various candidate team members. In certain implementations, the disclosed systems further provide a recommended-team-member notification to notify a target user of a recommended team member.

Abstract: Generation of filtering rules for incoming messages can be activated by a user through a gesture-based input. When the user activates filtering rule generation, the message management service can cause a user device to display a prompt requesting additional data to be used to generate the filtering rule. The gesture can be a swipe and hold gesture, where the swipe is associated with an action (archiving, deleting, deferring, or adding the message to a list), and the swipe and hold action can activate filtering rule generation associated with the action.
