Abstract: A method of protecting against two or more board failures at the same time by providing an elastic consistency platform (ECP) of high availability (HA) in multiple board environments is described. The ECP is provided between transmission control protocol (TCP) and an application using TCP on each board, including providing input and output buffers to store data between a producer and a consumer. The ECP is used to generate a warning when an amount of data unsynchronized in an output buffer of the ECP on any board reaches a programmable limit.

Abstract: A mechanism is disclosed for performing network embedded real time service level objective (SLO) validation. The mechanism may be implemented by a network device including a processor configured to generate a data packet as part of a data flow, the data packet including a service level objective (SLO), the SLO indicating a network service threshold and including a key performance indicator (KPI), the KPI indicating a network service metric to be compared to the network service threshold; a transmitter coupled to the processor, the transmitter configured to transmit the data packet toward a network; and a receiver coupled to the processor, the receiver configured to receive a message, the message indicating to the network device whether a service provided by the network has met or violated the SLO.

Abstract: Embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for transitioning a system from a tradition network to a Software Defined Network (SDN) enabled network. In some embodiments, the systems and methods may comprise the use of a Path Computation Element (PCE) as a central controller. Smooth transition between traditional network and the new SDN enabled network, especially from a cost impact assessment perspective, may be accomplished using the existing PCE components from the current network to function as the central controller of the SDN network is one choice, which not only achieves the goal of having a centralized controller to provide the functionalities needed for the central controller, but also leverages the existing PCE network components.

Abstract: Embodiments are provided for managing and mitigation contention of high reliability and low latency transmissions in wireless communications networks. According to an embodiment, a network entity indicates a first grant to a first device associated with a first service. The first grant includes a first resource for transmitting for the first service and a second resource for retransmitting for the first service. The network entity also indicates a second grant to a second device associated with a second service. The second grant includes the first resource for transmitting for the second service and a third resource for retransmitting for the second service. A third grant is also indicated to a third device associated with a third service. The third grant includes the first resource for transmitting for the third service. The first service and the second service have higher transmission reliability and latency requirements than the third service.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of detecting distracted driving comprises: determining, by one or more processors, a primary preview region (PPR) in a representation of an environment; determining, by the one or more processors, a gaze point for a driver based on a sequence of images of the driver; determining, by the one or more processors, that the gaze point is outside of the PPR; based on the determined gaze point being outside of the PPR, decreasing, by the one or more processors, an attention level for the PPR; based on the attention level for the PPR, generating, by the one or more processors, an alert.

Abstract: System and method embodiments are provided for adaptive pilot allocation. In an embodiment, a method in a communication controller for adaptive pilot allocation includes determining at least one channel condition parameter for a wireless channel between the communications controller and a user equipment (UE). The method includes selecting a microframe pilot pattern to use for subsequent communications on the wireless channel according to the at least one channel condition parameter. Additionally, the method includes signaling an indication of the selected microframe pilot pattern to the user equipment. The method further includes transmitting data to the UE using the selected microframe pilot pattern.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to technology for generating a compressed neural network. A weight tensor is received from a neural network to be compressed, and it is reordered to be compressed to have an inner two-dimensional (2D) shape and a 2D sparse bitmap. A layered structure is generated that represents the reordered weight tensor, and the reordered weight tensor is divided into a group of coefficients (GOCs). An encoding mode is selected to generate a quantized reordered weight tensor using one of a codebook or direct quantization, and a column swapped quantized reordered weigh tensor is generated. A compressed neural network is formed by encoding and the compressed representation of the neural network is transmitted to a target system for decompression.
