    Abstract: A capture setting for one or more image capture devices may be determined. The capture setting may define one or more aspects of operation for the image capture device(s). The aspect(s) of operation for the image capture device(s) may include one or more aspects of operation for a processor of the image capture device(s), an image sensor of the image capture device(s), and/or an optical element of the image capture device(s). A machine-readable optical code may be generated based on the capture setting and/or other information. The machine-readable optical code may convey the capture setting for the image capture device(s) such that a first image capture device capturing a first image including the machine-readable optical code may: (1) identify the machine-readable optical code within the first image; (2) determine the capture setting conveyed by the machine-readable optical code; and (3) operate in accordance with the capture setting.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for seamlessly transitioning between lens projections. In one exemplary embodiment, a piecewise lens projection is composed of three (3) functions: (i) a first polynomial-based lens projection, (ii) a second “joining” lens projection, and (iii) a trigonometric lens projection. The piecewise lens projection characterizes virtualized lens distortion as a function of FOV; image data can be dynamically projected based on the virtualized lens distortion, regardless of FOV. In this manner, a user may achieve the visually familiar effects associated with a first lens definition for a first FOV, while still smoothly animating transitions to other lens projections (e.g., a larger FOV using stereographic projections).

    Abstract: An image capture device including a bayonet, an integrated sensor and lens assembly (ISLA), and fasteners. The bayonet includes a mounting flange that connects the bayonet to a first surface the image capture device, a central portion, and connection recesses located within the central portion. The ISLA includes: a forward end that aligns with the connection recesses; a rearward end; internal lenses located within the ISLA and being aligned along an optical axis; and an integrated sensor connected to the rearward end and located along the optical axis. The fasteners extending through the central portion into the forward end of the lens assembly to connect the ISLA to the bayonet.
