    摘要: A cylinder device includes a piston rod that is inserted into a cylinder so as to be movable back and forth. The piston rod has a rod portion that extends outside the cylinder, and a piston connected to an end portion of the rod portion, the piston moving in the cylinder in a slidable manner. The rod portion has a rod inner space formed in the rod portion, the rod inner space communicating with the piston-side chamber of the cylinder, a first communicating passage that connects the rod inner space and the rod-side chamber of the cylinder, and an orifice plug provided in the first communicating passage in a changeable manner. The piston is connected to the rod portion so as to cover a part of the orifice plug.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, in a damper D of the present invention, since a orifice (7) and an opening/closing valve (9) are arranged in parallel with a bypass passage (B) bypassing a damping passage (3), and a valve opening pressure of an opening/closing valve (9) is made lower than a valve opening pressure of a damping valve (5), a sudden change in an inclination of a damping force characteristic can be moderated at an inflection point of the damping force characteristic even if the damping force is increased while the piston speed is in the low speed range.

    摘要: Providing an overturn preventing device which is easy in handling such as carrying. The overturn preventing device includes a damper, a first base portion, a second base portion and a connecting tool. The damper is mounted between a top surface of furniture and a ceiling. An expansion force of compressed gas filling a cylinder is applied to the damper in a direction such that a length of the damper is increased. The first base portion is rotatably connected to one of two ends of the damper and has a first abutting surface which abuts against the top surface of the furniture. The second base portion is rotatably connected to the other end of the damper and has a second abutting surface which abuts against the ceiling. The connecting tool maintains a folded state in which the damper is contracted so that the first base portion and the second base portion come close to each other.
