Abstract:
An image processing apparatus for performing image processes corresponding to input signals of multiple types, includes a luminance correcting unit that performs correction process on an input signal so as to correct for display luminance, a luminance decreasing unit that multiplies the input signal with a gain smaller than “1”, and a gamma correcting unit that performs gamma correction with a gamma value smaller than “1” on the input signal. The luminance decreasing unit and the gamma correcting unit are combined together to execute a first correction process that decreases a luminance of a highlight portion of an image while maintaining or increasing the luminance of a halftoned portion of the image, and the luminance decreasing unit executes a second correction process that decreases the luminance for substantially overall tone levels of the image.
Abstract:
The duplexer includes a transmit filter connected between an antenna terminal and a transmit terminal, and a splitter circuit and a receive filter connected in series between the antenna terminal and the receive terminal. The splitter circuit includes at least one phaseline connected between the antenna terminal and the receive filter and at least one resonator connected in parallel with the phaseline. According to the present invention, the length of the phaseline can be made shorter, so the entire duplexer can be made more compact in size. In addition, an inductors are preferably connected between each ends of the phaseline and the resonator. In this case, the inductance of a wire or via formed within the package can be used.

Abstract:
In a wet paper web transfer belt, the wet paper web side layer is formed by a high molecular weight elastic section containing porous bodies which are exposed at, or protrude from the web-contacting surface. The porous bodies are anchored in the resin and wear at about the same rate way as the surrounding resin. Therefore, the distribution of the porous bodies does not vary significantly as a result of abrasion. This transfer belt can transport an attached wet paper web, and release the web smoothly to a next stage in the papermaking process, over a long period of use.
Abstract:
The SAW element 11 comprises a serial arm 17 formed between an input terminal 15 and an output terminal 16, two serial arm side SAW resonators 20 located in the serial arm 17, at least three parallel arms 19 connected between the serial arm 17 and a reference potential terminal 18, and parallel arm side SAW resonator 21 located in the parallel arms 19, respectively. Each of these parallel arm side SAW resonators 21 has an anti-resonant frequency corresponding with the predetermined resonant frequency of each serial arm side SAW resonator 20. Further, at least one parallel arm side SAW resonator 21 has a resonant frequency different from those of the other parallel arm side SAW resonators 21. Thereby, not only insertion loss can be prevented from being deteriorated but also an attenuation characteristic of the SAW element 11 can be readily varied.

Abstract:
A nitrous acid salt is added at a temperature of 10 to 80° C. to an aqueous solution which contains an optically active 2-aminocarboxylic acid (4) and a protonic acid, the amount of the latter acid being 1 to 3 equivalents to the former, and which has a proton concentration of 0.5 to 2 mol/kg to conduct a reaction to thereby produce an optically active 2-hydroxycarboxylic acid (1). Thionyl chloride and a basic compound are caused to act on the compound (1) to chlorinate it and simultaneously invert the configuration in the 2-position. Thus, an optically active 2-chlorocarboxylic acid chloride (5) is induced. The compound (5) is hydrolyzed to induce an optically active 2-chlorocarboxylic acid (2). The compound (2) is reacted with a thioacetic acid salt to incorporate an acetylthio group thereinto and simultaneously invert the configuration in the 2-position to thereby produce an optically active 2-acetylthiocarboxylic acid (3).
