Also disclosed are methods for inhibiting biofilm formation and/or degrading biofilm. The oral care composition includes a sesquiterpenoid and an antimicrobial agent, in which the sesquiterpenoid and the antimicrobial agent are present in an amount effective to inhibit and/or degrade a biofilm in the oral cavity.
