Abstract:
A drive includes a hydraulic machine configured to convert kinetic energy into hydraulic energy and a hydrostatic energy store configured to be charged by the hydraulic machine. The drive further includes a control device configured to control the preloading of the store as a function of an operating state of a device driven by the drive. A hydrostatic energy store for a drive of a device includes a hydraulic machine which converts kinetic energy into hydraulic energy and charges the store. The store further includes a control device configured to vary a preloading of the store as a function of an operating state of the device. A method for adapting a preloading of a hydrostatic energy store includes determining an operating state of the device, determining the optimum preloading as a function of the determined operating state, and setting the preloading. A control device controls the setting of the preloading.
Abstract:
The system for flushing a vacuum toilet contains a urinal basin having a drain, which is connected to a drain line, and a bypass line, into which the drain line discharges, and which is connectable via a suction valve to a vacuum system. By generating a main air current in the bypass line and a secondary air current in the drain line, a noise emission in the area of the urinal basin may be significantly reduced.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel microRNA, mir-208-2, implicated in muscular and cardiovascular disorders. The present invention also relates to oligonucleotide therapeutic agents (antisense oligonucleotides and/or double stranded oligonucleotides such as dsRNA) and their use in the treatment of muscular and cardiovascular disorders resulting from dysregulation of mir-208-2.
Abstract:
A magnetofluidic hearing aid system includes a hearing aid having a signal processing device connected to a magnetic transmitter. The system includes such a hearing aid and a magnetofluid suitable for use in the body. The magnetic transmitter transmits a magnetic field producing vibrations in a liquid mixture containing the magnetofluid. The liquid mixture is operatively introduced into a cochlea, and the vibrations are suitable for triggering an auditory perception in the cochlea. Acoustic feedback is precluded as a result of the transmitter producing neither acoustic signals nor mechanical vibrations. A functional impairment caused by physical influences such as soiling, for example, of an acoustic receiver, is also precluded. Problems arising from impaired contact with the body are prevented from the beginning by the non-contact signal transmission. A hearing aid supply is also advantageously enabled regardless of the functional capability of the middle ear apparatus.
Abstract:
In the method of making a monocrystalline or polycrystalline semiconductor material semiconductor raw material is introduced into a melting crucible and directionally solidified using a vertical gradient freeze method. The molten material trickles downward, so that the raw material that has not yet melted gradually slumps in the melting crucible. The semiconductor raw material is replenished from above onto a zone of semiconductor raw material which has not yet melted or is not completely melted to at least partly compensate for shrinkage of the raw material and to raise the filling level. To reduce the melting time and influence the thermal conditions in the system as little as possible, the semiconductor raw material to be replenished is heated to a temperature below its melting temperature and introduced into the crucible in the heated state.
Abstract:
A monitoring device and method are provided for monitoring a vacuum toilet, as well as a personal transport vehicle, in particular an aircraft, which uses a monitoring device for vacuum toilets. The monitoring device has a position detector for detecting the position of a toilet lid, a mechanical latching device and a flushing control unit. The latching device is designed to latch the toilet lid in an open position based on the weight of a person acting on a toilet seat. The flushing control unit is further designed to control the flushing operation based on the toilet lid position, and to block the flushing operation upon detection of the toilet lid in the open position. This makes it possible to improve both the comfort and hygienic conditions for the toilet user while using the vacuum toilet.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a hydrostatic piston engine (11) and a drive (1) for recovering brake energy. The drive comprises a driving shaft (4) and a first accumulator (12) for accumulating pressure energy. The first accumulator (12) is connected to a hydrostatic piston engine (11). Said hydrostatic piston engine (11) has a coupling (9) and can be connected to the driving shaft (4) by means of the coupling (9). The hydrostatic piston engine (11) comprises a housing in which a cylinder drum and the driving shaft (4) are rotatably received. The cylinder drum can be connected to the driving shaft (4) by means of the coupling (9) in a rotationally fixed manner.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a drive (1) having an energy storage device and a method for storing brake energy. A drive (1) has an energy storage device having a hydrostatic piston engine (9) and a storage element (11) which is connected thereto. In a high-pressure storage line (10), an adjustable throttle location (15) is arranged between the piston engine (9) and the storage element (11). During the braking operation, the adjustable throttle location (15) is adjusted in accordance with a detected requested brake torque. The pressure medium is conveyed from the hydrostatic piston engine (9) via the adjustable throttle location (15) into the storage element (11).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a reformer for converting fuel and oxidising agent into a reformate, the reformer comprising an oxidising zone to which a mixture of fuel and oxidising agent is supplyable via a first fuel supply and a first oxidising agent supply and an injection and mixture formation zone disposed downstream of the oxidising zone to which further fuel is supplyable via a second fuel supply, a second oxidising agent supply being provided via which further oxidising agent is supplyable to the injection and mixture formation zone. According to the invention it is contemplated that the second oxidising agent supply is, relative to the second fuel supply, arranged so that it generates a barrier oxidising agent cushion in the area in front of the second fuel supply to prevent a heat transfer from the mixture from the oxidising zone to the second fuel supply. The invention further relates to a method for operating such a reformer.
Abstract:
A method and a system for determining a setting parameter of a hydrostatic displacement unit is provided. In the method, a pressure value, a rotational speed value, and a torque value are determined. The setting parameter can be determined with use of the pressure value, rotational speed value, torque value of the setting parameter characteristic diagram, and a setting parameter characteristic diagram, which is an inverted efficiency characteristic diagram, which has at least pressure, rotational speed, and torque as input parameters. The system can include a system unit for determining a pressure value, a system unit for determining a rotational speed value, a system unit for determining a torque value, and a system unit for determining the setting parameter with use of the pressure value, rotational speed value, torque value, and a characteristic diagram, whereby the system for determining a setting parameter is formed so that during the determination of the setting parameter it can use as a characteristic diagram a setting parameter characteristic diagram, which is an inverted efficiency characteristic diagram or torque characteristic diagram, which has at least pressure, rotational speed, and torque as input parameters.
