    摘要: A pressure generating device generates a hydraulic pressure as a result of a tensile or compressive load. The device has connections, one of which can be rigidly connected to a frame by way of a mechanism for introducing a mechanical tensile or compressive load, a pressure cylinder and a piston unit extending at least partially and flexibly in the pressure cylinder and bounding a hydraulic chamber filled with hydraulic fluid jointly with the pressure cylinder. The chamber has a simple and inexpensive construction. The connections are connected to the pressure cylinder or the piston unit by way of a coupling device that is configured such that the same hydraulic chamber has pressure applied thereto under tensile load and under compressive load.

    摘要: This invention relates to a slipper and swashplate cavitation erosion control and impact reduction assembly for a piston type hydraulic apparatus that includes a rotating cylinder block having at least one axially disposed bore. A piston is mounted for reciprocal movement within the bore. A fixed port plate is provided as well as a pair of different fluid pressure sources. The port plate cooperates with the rotating cylinder block to deliver alternately during two discrete and different portions of the cylinder block rotation first one of the fluid pressure sources and then the other of the fluid pressure sources to the bore and the piston. The piston has at one end thereof a slipper coupled thereto and the slipper is mounted for a sliding interface movement on a surface of a swashplate. The swashplate is nonrotatable in respect of the port plate. The piston has an internal passage extending from one end of the piston to the other end of the piston to thereby allow fluid under alternate pressure to be delivered to and through an opening in the slipper to the interface between the slipper and said swashplate. The inventive improvement resides in the swashplate being provided with at least one vent passage. The vent passage has one end thereof opening at the swashplate surface and the slipper-swashplate interface and the other end of said vent passage opening to an environment in which the ambient pressure is lower than either of the fluid pressure sources to thereby reduced erosion and load impact effects at the slipper-swashplate interface.

    摘要: Pumps wherein smooth surfaced rotators cause propulsion of a delicate fluid without significant damage to the fluid. The pumps may be used as heart pumps, blood pumps, and pumps for all types of fluids in connection with the maintenance of life or biological functions in a human or animal subject in many in vivo, ex vivo, or in vitro applications, or for any other application requiring gentle fluid handling. The pumps may be actuated by internal or external electric motors, and the rotators may be configured to converge mutually as an inverse function of distance from the axis of the rotators. The rotators may be connected together, by pins passing through the fluid passages, for mounting and driving as a unit, or may be mounted and driven independently to further eliminate the possibility of damage to the fluid by rotator-connection members.

A fluid collection area is downstream of the turbine-generator that at least temporarily collects fluid that has passed through the turbine-generator. An injection pump is provided to pump fluid that has accumulated in the collection area into the aquifer.

    摘要: An improved method and apparatus are provided for constructing and operating a linear actuator, and equipment incorporating a linear actuator, by operatively connecting a pressure biasing pneumatic arrangement between the driving member and the driven member of a mechanical linear actuator for applying a unidirectional biasing force between the driving and driven members, along an axis of motion, regardless of the location or movement of the driving and driven elements with respect to one another along the axis of motion. The pneumatic biasing arrangement is also configured, connected and operated to reduce the force which must be exerted by the driving and driven members in extending and retracting the linear actuator. The pneumatic biasing arrangement may further be configured for preferentially aiding extension or retraction of the actuator.
