    Abstract: A sensor chip and a sensing device containing the sensor chip is provided. The sensing device is configured to detect one or more bioactive agents in a surrounding medium. The sensor chip includes a reaction cell containing a plurality of receptor protein complexes, and a membrane separating the reaction cell from the surrounding medium. The membrane is permeable to the bioactive agents and the receptor protein complexes are configured to bind to the bioactive agents within the reaction cell to induce a state change of the receptor protein complexes which is detected.

    Abstract: The invention relates to an aerosol-generating device comprising a main body and a top cover. The top cover comprising a cavity for removable insertion of an aerosol-generating article comprising aerosol-forming substrate. The aerosol-generating device further comprises a heater in the cavity. The top cover is configured as movable with respect to the main body between a first position and a second position. The cavity is accessible for insertion of the aerosol-generating article when the top cover is in the first position. The cavity is inaccessible for insertion of the aerosol-generating article when the top cover is in the second position. Movement of the top cover between the first and second position is caused by one or more of pivotal movement around, or transversal, to a longitudinal axis of the aerosol-generating device and sliding movement transversal to the longitudinal axis of the aerosol-generating device. The invention also relates to a system comprising an aerosol-generating device and an aerosol-generating article.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to method for inspecting an inductively heatable aerosol-generating article (1) for the presence of a susceptor (21) using at least one sensor (110) that is responsive to the susceptor (21) being at least one of electrically conductive, magnetic or magnetized. The invention further relates to method and apparatus for inspecting an inductively heatable aerosol-generating article for a desired article alignment at a specific article location in an article manufacturing apparatus, wherein the susceptor is provided for inductively heating an aerosol-forming substrate comprised in the article, and wherein an arrangement of the susceptor at or in the article is asymmetric with regard to a length axis of the article. The method and the apparatus comprises usage of at least a first senor which is arranged and configured to detect at a first test site of the article location a presence or absence of a susceptor, wherein the presence of the susceptor at the first test is indicative of the presence of the desired article alignment at the article location. The first sensor is responsive to the susceptor being at least one of electrically conductive, magnetic or magnetized and responsive to the presence of the susceptor at the first test site.
