摘要: A method of coating a metallic substrate includes immersing a metallic substrate in a polymer composition including a conductive 3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene (EDOT) polymer, a gelatin polyelectrolyte, an antibacterial drug, an organic solvent, and an inorganic salt solute, and further coating the polymer composition onto a surface of the metallic substrate by cyclic voltammetry to form a coating on the surface of the metallic substrate. The coating on the metallic substrate is performed such that the gelatin and the antibacterial drug are uniformly distributed throughout the coating, and the coating has a thickness between 7.0 and 15.0 micrometers. The metallic substrate is a stainless steel (SS). An implantable medical device including a metallic substrate coated by the present method.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of processing a component, wherein the component comprises at least one opening in a surface thereof, the method comprising: placing the component in an electrophoretic fluid comprising particles of a masking material as an electrode, applying a voltage to the component and a counter electrode of the component, depositing particles of the masking material in the electrophoretic fluid into the at least one aperture through electrophoresis to mask the at least one aperture; processing a surface of the component; and removing the masking material in the at least one opening.

摘要: A graphene composite film is produced for application to the anode of a battery. A graphene dispersion is peeled off of a graphite solvent mixture ultrasonically. The graphene material is then mixed with organic amine salt to be charged. Electrophoretic deposition is used to turn the graphene into a film. The film is then passed through a heat treatment to remove the organic amine salt. The resulting film is a highly conductive graphene film with a two-dimensional structure.

The method comprises electrophoretically depositing the first MEA electrode from a suspension comprising a first precursor on a first surface of an ion permeable membrane and electrophoretically depositing the second MEA electrode from a second suspension comprising a second precursor on a second surface of the ion permeable membrane, wherein the first precursor is physically separated from and ionically connected to the second precursor by the membrane.

摘要: A method for high rate assembly of nanoelements into two-dimensional void patterns on a non-conductive substrate surface utilizes an applied electric field to stabilize against forces resulting from pulling the substrate through the surface of a nanoelement suspension. The electric field contours emanating from a conductive layer in the substrate, covered by an insulating layer, are modified by a patterned photoresist layer, resulting in an increased driving force for nanoelements to migrate from a liquid suspension to voids on a patterned substrate having a non-conductive surface. The method can be used for the production of microscale and nanoscale circuits, sensors, and other electronic devices.

摘要: A vehicle assembly method includes providing an aluminum roof component including a peripheral flange structure that defines a roof adhesive bonding zone; providing a steel vehicle body component including a body adhesive bonding zone; removably fastening the roof component to the vehicle body component with the peripheral flange structure spaced from the vehicle body component; electrocoating the roof component secured to the vehicle body component including the roof adhesive bonding zone and the body adhesive bonding zone; painting the roof component secured to the vehicle body component; removing the painted roof component from the painted vehicle body component; applying an adhesive that is curable at room temperature to at least one of the roof adhesive bonding zone and the body adhesive bonding zone; securely fastening the painted roof component to the painted vehicle body component with the adhesive spanning the adhesive bonding zones; and curing the adhesive.
