Abstract: A method and apparatus for using a configured resource by a user equipment in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving a signaling to configure an uplink resource which is available in multiple transmission time intervals (TTIs), including a first TTI and a second TTI. The method includes performing a transmission using the uplink resource in the first TTI in response to reception of the signaling and not in the second TTI which is not corresponding to reception of the signaling, wherein the UE has no data available for transmission.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for triggering a beam state information report by a user equipment in a wireless communication system are disclosed herein. In one method, a user equipment measures multiple beam reference signals of non-serving beams from a cell and derives multiple values from measurements. The UE derives a first value, wherein the first value is a highest value, a lowest value, or an average value of the multiple values. The UE triggers to report a measurement result for a beam reference signal if at least one condition is satisfied, wherein the condition is based on comparing the first value to a threshold.

The indication also serves to initiate a random access procedure. The indication is transmitted together with other information. The other information can include configuration information related to random access. The indication and the other information can be provided via the same RRC message. The UE initiates a random access procedure in response to receiving the indication.

Abstract: A method for a wireless communications system is disclosed. In one example, user equipment (UE) (e.g. a mobile phone) receives an indication from a network (for example, by way of a transmission and reception point (TRP)) indicating whether a first transmission and a second transmission to the UE can be combined for decoding. The UE also receives the first transmission via a first UE beam and the second transmission via a second UE beam. The first transmission and the second transmission are received concurrently. The first and second transmissions can arrive via different serving beams and/or different TRPs of the same cell. Based on the indication, the UE combines the first and second transmissions for decoding purposes.

Abstract: A method for a wireless communications system is disclosed. In one example, user equipment (UE) maintains at least one serving beam, and uses a serving beam to perform an uplink (UL) transmission of data. The data is stored in an uplink hybrid automatic repeat request (UL HARQ) buffer. When there is a failure to track the serving beam, a beam recovery procedure is initialized. After successful completion of the beam recovery procedure, the UE retransmits the data stored in the UL HARQ buffer. The UE prevents the data from being flushed from the UL HARQ buffer when the failure to track the serving beam occurs, so that the data can be retransmitted.
