    摘要： A system and method for keeping ledger accounts in synchronization between a back-end procurement system and a front-end requisition and catalog system. An extract utility extracts a file of general ledger (G/L) accounts, including account code, description, and company code, from a chart of accounts in the back-end and transfers it to the front-end, where it is updated by an update utility to include company group code from a company group table and then loaded into a data store of valid general ledger accounts. Maintenance of the front end data store of valid accounts includes pushing to all companies in a company group ledger code entered with respect to any one of the companies in that group.

    摘要： A content delivery system and method are disclosed. A system incorporating teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a personal computer having a storage device. The personal computer may have a software application saved on the storage device. In practice, the application may be capable of directing the personal computer to communicatively couple with a network based resource and to initiate presentation of a graphical user interface (GUI) at the user computer system. In some cases, the GUI may act as a user interface for the network based resource. The system may also include a portable audio file player with a collection of locally saved instructions. The instructions may direct a processor of the player to maintain an updateable user interface that includes a menu of selectable icons and to modify the updateable user interface in connection with receiving an audio file from the personal computer.

The system my also include a wireless local area networking module communicatively coupled to a memory and configured to communicate within a local coverage area using a proximal wireless protocol. The memory may store a messaging file that includes instructions to direct a wireless telephone processor to send a wireless messaging service message configured for delivery via a wide area wireless network to the wireless local area networking module using the proximal wireless protocol. The system may also include a message forwarding engine configured to output information representing the wireless messaging service message via the interface to the wireline network.
