Abstract: Presented herein are techniques to provide for the ability to optimize the caching of Fast Transition (FT) hierarchical keys based on a derived or statically defined neighbor relationship between wireless wide area (WWA) access network nodes and wireless local area (WLA) access network nodes and also user equipment (UE) mobility triggers in the WWA access network. In one example, a method may include instructing a UE to report detection of a WLA access network and based, at least in part, on obtaining a notification via a WWA access node indicating UE detection of the WLA access network, identifying WLA access nodes that neighbor the WWA access node. The method may further include generating FT key material for the UE and communicating a portion of the FT key material to the WLA access nodes that neighbor the WWA access node to facilitate authenticating the UE to the WLA access network.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing access prioritization to a private Long Term Evolution (LTE) network operating in a Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) spectrum include receiving, at a network device of the private Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, a functional group associated with a user equipment (UE) and a traffic load of a cell of the private LTE network associated with the UE. An access priority associated with the functional group and the traffic load is determined and provided to a CBRS access point (AP) which controls access to the cell. The access priority indicates to the CBRS AP a priority with which the UE is allowed to access the cell and can include a high priority, a low priority, or no access indication.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for improving resource management in Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) networks include a Spectrum Access System (SAS) in coordination with one or more CBRS devices (CBSDs) and a Digital Network Architecture center (DNA-C). Resource allocation decisions can be based on one or more policies such as a priority, a preemption capability index and/or a preemption vulnerability index associated with the CBSDs. Resource allocation can also be based on inter-access point (AP) coordination between two or more CBSDs and comparative performance indicators of the two or more CBSDs. Managing interference between two or more groups of CBSDs can be based on the inter-AP coordination and group identifiers associated with the two or more groups. Bandwidth allocation can be modified to the two or more CBSDs and seamless transition can be implemented using timers.

Abstract: Presented herein are methodologies for managing radio resources in a venue that implements a high density wireless infrastructure. The methodology includes detecting, using wireless access points, neighbor awareness networking (NAN) communications broadcast by a mobile device, determining a wireless channel on which the mobile device is sending the NAN communications, predicting a destination of the mobile device based on a path, through a predetermined venue, being taken by the mobile device, the path being detected using the wireless access points; and implementing a radio resource management remediation technique to reduce radio interference that is expected to be caused by the NAN communications broadcast by the mobile device at the destination based on the wireless channel and the destination.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for dynamically adjusting cell coverage sensitivity to address asymmetry of wireless cells that affect upstream and downstream traffic mismatch. In one aspect, a method includes estimating, at a network controller, one or more packet demodulation thresholds for an access point; sending, by the network controller, the one or more packet demodulation thresholds to the access point; receiving, from the access point, collected statistic, the collected statistics being link performance characteristics between the access point and one or more endpoints associated with the access point measured by one or more sensors associated with the access point; updating, at the network controller, the one or more packet demodulation thresholds based on the collected statistics to yield an updated packet demodulation threshold; and configuring, by the network controller, the access point with the updated demodulation threshold.

Abstract: Systems and methods provided for a sensor certificate lifecycle manager for a network management system of an enterprise network for the automated generation of unique certificates for sensors used to act like a client device in the enterprise network for the purposes of troubleshooting. Furthermore, the network management and command center in association with the sensor certificate lifecycle manager manages a pool of signed unique certificates and have control over the lifecycle of such certificates, such as for revoking, transferring, and reassigning certificates for the sensors.

Efficient authentication and secure communications in private communication systems having non-3GPP and 3GPP access

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may be in coverage of a local private non-Third Generation Partnership Project (non-3GPP) wireless network (e.g. a Wi-Fi network) of an enterprise. This non-3GPP wireless network may be part of a private communication system of the enterprise which further includes a local private 3GPP network (e.g. a Long-Term Evolution or “LTE” based network). When the non-3GPP wireless network advertises “single-authentication” support, the UE may complete authentication for non-3GPP access, obtain a Master Session Key (MSK) from the authentication, and generate an Access Security Management Entity (ASME) key (KASME) based on the MSK. In further implementations, the UE may obtain a Globally Unique Temporary Identifier (GUTI) from the non-3GPP wireless network. Subsequently, the UE may perform an attach procedure with the local private 3GPP network without performing an authentication procedure, presenting the GUTI that it obtained from the non-3GPP wireless network for 3GPP access.

Abstract: Embodiments include technologies for receiving two or more requests to join a network from an end device via two or more gateways, respectively, and selecting one of the two or more gateways for the end device. Embodiments further include sending, to the selected gateway, a response to a request to join the network received via the selected gateway, where the response includes an indication to the selected gateway to forward the request to join the network to an edge network server associated with the selected gateway. In more specific embodiments, an application is identified based on information included in the request to join the network, and a determination is made regarding whether to allocate an edge network server to the end device based, at least in part, on a type of the application. Specific embodiments can include the gateway being selected based, at least in part, on a policy.
