    摘要: A system and method for measuring the pressure provided by a disc pump is disclosed. The disc pump comprises an actuator mounted within the disc pump on a flexible skirt that allows the actuator to oscillate for generating air flow through the cavity of the pump and allows the actuator to be displaced with increasing pressure to a load. The actuator moves from a rest position when air begins flowing through the cavity to a biased position when the load is fully pressurized or depressurized depending on the direction of fluid flow through the cavity. The pump further comprises a sensor which measures the displacement of the actuator at any position between the rest position and the biased position as fluid begins flowing through the cavity to pressurize or depressurize the load. The pressure being delivered by the disc pump is determined as a function of the displacement of the actuator.

    摘要: Systems and methods for a reduced-pressure interface for connecting a multi-lumen conduit to a distribution manifold. The interface includes a housing having a flange portion and a cavity wall portion. The cavity wall portion forms a cavity having a tissue-facing cavity opening. The interface further includes an attachment device, a conduit port, and a multi-lumen conduit. The attachment device is coupled to a tissue-facing side of the flange portion for coupling the housing to a sealing member. The conduit includes a distal end and a proximal whereby the distal end extends through a conduit aperture and past the cavity wall portion into the cavity. The conduit further includes a primary lumen and a plurality of sensing lumens. The primary lumen and the plurality of sensing lumens extend from the proximal end of the conduit to the distal end. The conduit is adapted to contact the distribution manifold.

    摘要: A disc pump valve includes an elliptical pump base having at least one aperture extending through the base. The base comprises a first end wall and a sealing surface. The pump includes an isolator overlying the base and having an isolator valve aperture extending through the isolator at or near the periphery of the isolator and partially overlying a cavity formed by the base to form an outlet. In addition, the disc pump includes a valve flap disposed between the pump base and the isolator. The flap has apertures arranged about its periphery, beyond the periphery of the cavity but underlying an isolator valve aperture. The flap seals against the sealing surface to close the pump outlet and prevent fluid from flowing from the outlet into the cavity and flexes away from the sealing surface to allow fluid to pass from the cavity through the pump outlet.
