A system for treating fluid stasis includes an airstream nozzle and an airflow generator for supplying an airflow to the airstream nozzle. The airflow nozzle is configured to output an airstream configured to be directed onto a patient to induce shear-thinning of static fluid and movement of static fluid toward one or more natural drainage areas for static fluid.

摘要: An external device for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and Peyronie's disease comprises a vacuum cylinder containing a dual sheath assembly having an outer tightening compartment and an inner vacuum compartment. A plurality of expandable chambers contained within the tightening compartment are inwardly radially expandable towards the user's erect penis within the vacuum compartment by selectively supplying fluid to the tightening compartment and to the expandable chambers under variable pressure. For example, this specification describes devices, systems, and methods for inducing an erection of a user's flaccid penis in a vacuum compartment of the invention and applying longitudinal and lateral traction forces by the dual sheath assembly and the expandable chambers therein to the erect penis to execute a treatment protocol specific to a patient suffering from erectile dysfunction and/or Peyronie's disease.

Further, in the example, the second bladder projects from a surface of the first bladder, and the second bladder is fluidly isolated from the first bladder.

摘要: A compression garment for implementing circulatory-related disorder therapy includes a plurality of chambers. In some implementations, the compression garment further includes air supply tubes and tube guides for maintaining the air supply tubes on a predetermined pathway in or on the garment. In some implementations, the compression garment further includes three or more layers forming the macro-chambers and air supply channels for supplying air to the macro-chamber. In some implementations, the compression garment further includes a flexible foot chamber support assembly that allows bending around a periphery of a user's foot. In some implementations, the compression garment further includes chamber valves and a main air supply valve pneumatically connected to a central air supply line and configured to control the supply of pressurized air to at least two of the chamber valves.

摘要: A pneumatic module has an air passage formed therein, including an air inlet to receive a source of pressurized air, a first subsystem with an air splitter in fluid communication with the air inlet, a second subsystem, and a third subsystem. The air splitter is configured to create two unequal air pressure fields to deflect an airflow from the air inlet to the second subsystem. The second subsystem is configured to create two unequal air pressure fields to deflect the airflow toward a first air bladder to inflate the first air bladder, and when the first air bladder reaches a first threshold air pressure, a first backpressure from the first air bladder causes the second subsystem to switch and deflect the air flow to a second air bladder. A second backpressure causes the air splitter to switch and deflect the airflow from the second subsystem to the third subsystem.

摘要: A walker is disclosed providing motorized height adjustment and having U-shaped lower and upper frames, each with left and right members. Both the left and right lower and upper member front ends mutually connect. Both frames are horizontally oriented, with the upper frame generally above the lower frame, which includes wheels. Generally vertical left and right double scissor mechanisms interposed between the upper and lower members maintain the alignment of the upper and lower frames. At least one powered, user-controllable linear actuator with a pneumatic lift spring and position memory raises and lowers the upper frame. The upper frame has three positions: the raised position, ready for a person to use; the lowered position, ready for a person to sit or stand, and collapsed position for storage and transportation. A width adjustment mechanism spreads or contracts the rear ends of the members to best fit any size person.

摘要: A method of treating a tissue site is provided. The method includes applying a reduced pressure to a tissue site with a reduced pressure source. A source pressure is monitored at the reduced pressure source, and a differential pressure is determined between the source pressure and the desired tissue site pressure. If a blockage is present between the reduced pressure source and the tissue site, the differential pressure is limited to a first maximum differential pressure. If no blockage is present between the reduced pressure source and the tissue site, the differential pressure is limited to a second maximum differential pressure.
