    摘要: A manifold valve assembly for selectively interconnecting a row of ports to control the flow of fluid in a group of lines coupled thereto. The assembly includes a valve block having a like row of cylinders formed therein which communicate at their lower ends with the row of ports. The upper ends of the cylinders are interconnected, whereby fluid admitted into any one cylinder flows into the other cylinders in the row. Supported coaxially within the cylinders is a corresponding row of expandable tubular nipples, the ends of the nipples in their unexpanded state reaching a first point. Projecting into the nipples are a group of push-button actuated rods. Each rod, when pushed in by its associated button causes the nipple to expand to reach a second point in the cylinder. A valve seat in each cylinder cooperates with the end of the nipple therein to cut off fluid flow in the cylinder when the nipple end reaches one of the points to engage the seat, flow being resumed when the nipple end is shifted toward the other point.

    摘要: A manifold valve assembly for selectively interconnecting a row of ports to control the flow of fluid in the lines coupled thereto. The assembly includes a valve block in whose upper face is formed a shallow well. Extending from the well to a plane parallel to the lower face of the block is a row of cylinders whose lower ends define valve seats that communicate with ports projecting from the lower face. A channel indented in the well serves to laterally interconnect the mouths of the cylinders with each other. Seated in the well and sealing the mouths of the cylinders is a pad of elastomeric material from which is projected a row of hollow, axially-expandable nipples that extend into and are coaxially disposed within the cylinders, the nipples all having a normal length that falls short of the valve seats. Mounted above the valve block is an actuator block having a row of tubes therein in axial alignment with the cylinders. Supported in each tube is the retractable push rod of a spring-biased click mechanism. The lower end of each rod protrudes into a respective nipple, the upper end thereof being coupled to a normally-raised push-button. The arrangement is such that when a given button is pressed in, the push rod associated therewith is advanced axially to a degree limited by the click to cause the associated nipple to expand and engage the valve seat, thereby closing the valve. When this same button is again pressed in, the click is released to cause the rod to retract and thereby open the valve, the button then being returned to its raised position. Thus by operating the buttons, one may select the valves to be opened or closed and thereby connect the lines associated with the ports in any desired manner.

    摘要: An apparatus for lifting planar objects which includes an extendable rectilinear elongated frame formed of at least two spaced U-beams, each U-beam defining a longitudinal runway and having an elongated area removed from a forward face below a midpoint of the frame. The removed elongated area defines an entranceway to the longitudinal runway. The entranceway is dimensioned to receive the planar object for placement on a transport carriage while maintaining a top portion of the planar object within the longitudinal runway. The carriage is configured to laterally span the two spaced U-beams such that a portion of the carriage and a portion of the planar object are confined within each interior longitudinal runway at least during transport. A skid is perpendicularly joined to a forward face of the carriage at about its bottom edge. The skid is configured to support the planar object during placement and lifting. A pull cable is affixed at one end to the carriage at about a midpoint of a lateral dimension and in proximity to a top edge of the carriage. A first cross member is laterally joined to a top of the frame which includes a pulley aligned such that the pull cable when in communication with the pulley and affixed to the carriage are aligned along a common longitudinal centerline between the two spaced U-beams. A second cross member is likewise laterally joined to the frame in proximity to the entranceway. A winch is connected to an opposite end of the pull cable and configured to move the carriage and planar object through the longitudinal runways.
