摘要： A baitcasting reel has a spool rotatably supported on a spool shaft between side bodies for taking up a fishing line. One of the side bodies includes an outer case pivotable to expose an opening through which the spool and spool shaft are removable. A restricting device, such as a spring, is provided for engaging a small diameter portion of the spool shaft to prevent movement thereof toward the opening. The spool and spool shaft are manually removable through the opening against a retaining force of the restricting device.

摘要： A centrifugal brake for a baitcasting reel has contact pieces in the form of collars slidably mounted on rods extending radially of a spool axis to be revolvable with rotation of a spool, and an annular braking member disposed outwardly of a locus of revolution of the collars. The braking member is attached to an inner periphery of a case or cover detachably attached to a reel frame. The collars are movable under a centrifugal force into contact with the braking member. The braking member has an inclined surface formed on an inner periphery thereof. The inclined surface is opposed to the spool and shaped to diverge toward the spool. In the course of attaching the case or cover to the reel frame, the inclined surface pushes the collars down toward the spool axis to facilitate a case attaching operation.

摘要： A fishing reel includes a spool for winding a fishing line, and a handle for rotating the spool in a line winding direction. The handle is connected to the spool through a handle shaft and a drive gear mounted on the handle shaft. A friction type rotation restrictor is mounted on the handle shaft between the drive gear and handle and linked to a reel body through a one-way clutch. The rotation restrictor prevents rotation in a line unwinding direction of the drive gear and spool against a tension applied to the fishing line and regardless of a stopping phase of the spool.

摘要： A graphic processor which controls reading, writing and transfer of graphic data for a display memory that stores graphic data. The processor includes a first unit which stores first address information for addressing the display memory and first pixel address information which points a pixel position in a word specified by the first address information, a second unit which stores second address information for addressing the display memory and second pixel address information which points a pixel position in a word specified by the second address information, a third unit which shifts graphic data of multiple pixels included in two consecutive words to extract continuous 1-word graphic data, and a fourth unit which implements drawing computations pixel-wise concurrently for one word depending on the number of pixels included in a word. Even if transfer source graphic data lies across two consecutive words, the processor fetches the source data in single reading, processes the data word-wise at once, and stores the result in the display memory.

摘要： A testing apparatus is presented which evaluates the performance of optical signal transmissions in the 1.3 .mu.m wavelength region, independently or simultaneously with signal transmission. An optical signal is transmitted in the network.fwdarw.user direction in a thermo-optic (TO) switch 11, and the signal is also looped in the direction A of an optical directional coupler 3. An optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) 10 Generates a test beam at 1.55 .mu.m wavelength region, which is reflected by a wavelength selective filter 8 back to the OTDR 10 in the user-network direction. The apparatus is thus able to perform testing of the transmission cable 7 simultaneously with the signal transmission. When an operating problem is to be pinpointed in the system, the optical switch 11 is switched so as to permit the signal from a line terminal LT 1 to transmit in the network.fwdarw.user direction. The signal is attenuated by the same magnitude as the loss budget between the terminals NT 9 and LT1, and is looped back to LT 1, thereby enabling Loop 1 testing at the same signal strength level as in the actual signal transmission.

摘要： A graphic processing system including a main memory for storing a program and information corresponding to pixels, a main processor for effecting an execution processing of a program transferred from the main memory or from an external device so as to control the system, display/output devices such as a CRT device and a printer for outputting graphic information attained by controlling pixels arranged in a plurality of dimensions, a frame buffer for storing information corresponding to pixels outputted to the display/output devices, and a graphic processor for receiving a command and parameter information transferred from the main memory and/or the main processor, for generating character and graphic data in accordance with a predetermined processing procedure and for performing a transfer control including an execution of a drawing processing to transfer generated data through first and second address buses and first and second data buses to the main memory and/or the frame buffer, respectively. The system also includes bus connection switch circuit to be controlled by the graphic processor to effect a connection control between the first and second address buses and between the first and second data buses so as to enable execution of a drawing processing in the main memory connected to a bus on the main processor side and a data transfer between the main memory and the frame buffer.

摘要： A fishing reel having a spool supported rotatably to a reel body. A drag mechanism including a drag disc opposite to a flange of the spool transmits a driving force to the spool. A cylindrical member extends axially outwardly from the outer periphery of the flange to enclose the outer periphery of the drag mechanism. A cover shields an opening at the utmost end of an extension of the cylindrical member, and an annular projection or an annular groove guides water downwardly toward the bottom of the reel body, which water enters the reel body by way of a gap btween the outer periphery of the flange and the annular inner surface at the reel body opposite thereto. A drain is provided for draining to the exterior the water which collects at the bottom of the reel body.
