Abstract:
A cellular wireless core network for establishing calls via dynamic virtual circuit connections includes a source call server exchanging messages with a destination call server in order to determine a destination media gateway. The destination media gateway determines a destination logical ATM component and its logical ATM component address. The destination media gateway returns the destination logical ATM component address to the destination call server, which, in turn, returns the destination logical ATM component address to the source call server. The source call server forwards the destination logical ATM component address to a source logical ATM component. The source logical ATM component sends an Establish Request (ERQ) message to the destination logical ATM component containing the destination logical ATM component address, the source logical ATM component address, and a virtual circuit connection identifier that uniquely defines the virtual connection through the ATM network.

A responsive polymeric system including a responsive polymeric component capable of undergoing a transition that results in a sharp increase in viscosity in response to a triggering effected at a predetermined body site. The system includes a solid non-ceramic reinforcing component which reinforces the polymeric component, and an aqueous-based solvent wherein the viscosity of the responsive polymeric component increases by at least about 2 times upon exposure to a predetermined trigger.
Abstract:
A method and system for implementing a communications network having configurable control mechanisms for the identification and transference of particular types of communications data. Detection points are established within the communications network, wherein particular types of communications data transferred through the detection points may be identified. Removable configurable control mechanisms are associated with the detection points mechanisms that manage the transference of communications data through the detection points, such that the removable configurable control mechanisms may be easily replaced and updated without deconstructing the communications network or extensively delaying communication services within the communications network. The communications network can include a wireless or wireline communications or a combination thereof. The configurable control mechanisms include triggers within calls or communication transactions which can be armed to transfer control and call-related information to external nodes that may be composed of off-board service platforms.
