Carboxylic acid-polyetherpolyamine reaction products which contain as the principle reaction component, an amidoamine having the formula: ##STR1## where R=polyether segment as previously defined.Z=dicarboxylic acid of structure given in Examples 2 and obtained by reacting a polyoxypropylene and/or polyoxyethylene diamine with an aromatic dicarboxylic acid in molar proportions such that at least about 1.0 to 1.2 mole equivalents of amine are provided in the reaction mixture of each mole equivalent of carboxylic acid present in the reaction mixture. The amidoamines exhibit improved properties which allow for a rapid curing system even under ambient conditions and useful applications include coatings, adhesives, encapsulations, laminates and composite fabrications.

4,4,6-trimethylhexahydropyrimidine is partially reacted with a polyepoxide to form a room temperature Stable "B" stage epoxy resin system. This system may be stored at or near 25.degree. C. for long periods of time without further reaction. Heating of the partially cured material rapidly transforms the B-Stage product into a cross-linked material which is both temperature and chemically resistant.These properties make the product useful as preimpregnates with laminae such as cloth, paper, glass cloth and the like and for filament windings.

Flexible polyurethane foams having improved properties and made from modified polyether polyols are described. The polyether polyols are modified with adducts of epoxy resins, such as the diglycidyl ether of Bisphenol A, and diamines, such a polyoxypropylenediamine. The resulting modified polyether polyols have a molecular weight of from about 2,000 to 7,000. The mole ratio of epoxy equivalents to amine equivalents in the adduct ranges from about 2/1 to 10/1.

A non-yellowing decorative epoxy resin aggregate binder formulation is disclosed. The formulation comprises 100 parts by weight polyepoxide, 24.8 parts by weight of a specified polyoxypropylene diamine, 26 parts by weight nonylphenol and 4 parts by weight m-xylylenediamine.Nonylphenol gives the formulation strength with flexibility and resistance to weathering with a high gloss appearance. M-xylylenediamine prevents yellowing of the clear coating.The formulation is useful as a clear coating to bind aggregate (colored pebbles or shell) to a cement surface to form a decorative coating. The formulation is distinguished by its clear, non-yellowing appearance.
