    摘要: An optic rotation sensing apparatus includes a light source emitting light. The light emitted from the light source is transmitted to a sensing loop which provides a phase difference between opposite-direction light waves in response to a rotation. Return light outputted from the sensing loop is transmitted to a photodetector. A device modulates a phase of light propagating in the sensing loop. Another device depolarizes light propagating in the sensing loop. The invention further controls and processes an output signal representing the output of the photodetector at a phase at which a level of an AM noise component of the output signal is minimized.

    摘要: A pulsation damper mounted in a fuel chamber (23) of a high-pressure fuel pump (20) is provided with a diaphragm (11) having a flat section (11a) displaced when fuel pressure is applied thereto, a pump cover (10) for supporting the diaphragm (11), and a gas chamber (12) formed by the diaphragm (11) and the pump cover (10). Pressure pulsation occurring in the fuel chamber (23) is suppressed by displacement of the flat section (11a). The diaphragm (11) is formed in a closed-bottomed tubular shape with the flat section (11a) located at the bottom and has a projection (11b) provided to the periphery of the flat section (11a) and projecting to the side opposite to the pump cover (10). A tubular peripheral section extending from the outer periphery of the projection (11b) so as to be vertical to the flat section (11a) is fitted over the pump cover (10). The externally fitting portion of the tubular peripheral section is a joint section (11c) joined to the pump cover (10).

    摘要: A compact slider has a reduced area of bearing surfaces, thus substantially decreasing a lifting force obtained through an air bearing characteristic. In one embodiment, a shallowly grooved surface and air bearing surfaces are disposed on an inflow side of a bearing surface of a slider. The air bearing surfaces are connected to each other through a connection air bearing surface. Side shallowly grooved surfaces are respectively disposed rearward of the air bearing surfaces. The side shallowly grooved surface extends up to a point near an outflow end. A center air bearing surface is disposed on the outflow end of the slider. A magnetic head is mounted on the center air bearing surface. A center shallowly grooved surface is disposed on an inflow side of the center air bearing surface. A deeply grooved surface is disposed at a center of the bearing surface. No cutting margins are provided on both sides of the slider. The air bearing surfaces on the inflow side therefore reach end faces in a width direction of the slider.
