A client terminal 200 includes a link file registration component 211 that notifies a server terminal 100 of registration information for link files, a link file manager 212 that acquires and manages information pertaining to link files, and a link file status display component 213 that displays information pertaining to link files; and a server terminal 100 includes a link file information notification component 102 that acquires information pertaining to link files and sends this information to the client terminal 200.

摘要： The present invention provides a display control system for controlling data which is displayed on a screen of a display unit. The system includes a pointing device for pointing to a position on the screen of the display unit, a deleting unit for gradually deleting elements of data from the screen of the display unit as if the elements were gradually being sucked at the position pointed to by the pointing device, and a density controller for controlling the density of elements remaining on the screen of the display unit so that the density is gradually decreased in accordance with suction of the elements. The present invention also provides a data processing apparatus which includes a pointing device for pointing to a menu on the screen of the display unit, a controller for causing menu items included in the menu pointed to by the pointing device to be display at a position on the screen of the display unit one by one in turns at predetermined intervals, a detecting unit for detecting a predetermined operation, and a selecting unit for selecting, as a menu item, to be activated, a menu item displayed on the screen of the display unit when the detecting unit detects the predetermined operation.

摘要： A plurality of user terminals regularly accessing Internet Relay Chat (IRC) services are also in communication with a service selecting host. The service selecting host is configured to collect data from the plurality of user terminals. The collected data includes information about the users at the user terminals and information about the user terminals activity in the accessing of the IRC services. The service selecting host compiles and sorts the collected data concerning IRC services to produce information provided to the user terminals. The information provided to the user terminals allows users at the user terminals to more easily select sorted IRC services.

摘要： A document creating apparatus creates a document in response to handwritten data generated from a handwritten data input device and displays the created document on a display screen. The document creating apparatus includes a setting mechanism for setting on the display screen one or a plurality of normalized regions having a normalized size as an attribute and one or a plurality of non-normalized regions having no normalized size as the attribute, a judging mechanism for judging whether input data are input to the normalized region or the non-normalized region, a first storing mechanism for converting a size of the input data into a normalized size of the normalized region and storing the normalized input data in a memory when the judging mechanism judges that the input data are input to the normalized region, and a second storing mechanism for storing the input data in the memory as they are when the judging mechanism judges that the input data are input to the non-normalized region.

Further, the ISDN interface unit comprises communication functions for the digital signal and for the voice band signal, a control channel signal sent from the ISDN line is interpreted, and one of the communication functions can be selected.
