    摘要: A programmable logic device (PLD), is provided that includes: a plurality of SERDES channels; a programmable logic fabric configured to implement an interface for a standardized cellular base station system; wherein the interface receives data words from the SERDES channels and transmits data words to the SERDES channels, and wherein a standard corresponding to the standardized base station system restricts a latency with regard to flow of the data words through the interface, the data words being arranged into frames; and a timing measurement circuit configured to measure a delay between a detection of a first timing point in the frames at first location in the PLD with respect to the interface and a detection of a second timing point in the frames at a second location in the PLD with respect to the interface.

    摘要: The present invention provides contact lens with integrated biosensor for the continuous, non-invasive monitoring of physiological glucose by employing biocompatible nanostructure-laden lens materials. These contact lenses can be worn by diabetics who can colorimetrically see changes in their contact lens color or other fluorescence-based properties, giving an indication of tear and blood glucose levels. This invention for the glucose biosensor based on the new disposal contact lens provides a safe, convenient and non-expensive glucose sensing device. The sensing device disclosed herein provides an efficient and noninvasive solution for monitoring blood glucose.

    摘要: Improved position estimation for a square photodetector having terminals at its corners is provided by first estimating an event position in a coordinate system aligned with the diagonals of the square, and then performing a coordinate rotation to provide an estimated position in a coordinate system aligned with the sides of the square. These two steps can also be mathematically combined. It is believed that the improved accuracy of this position determination approach is a result of a greater degree of linearity in charge division between terminals along diagonal axes than along orthogonal axes of a square detector. Flood images provided by this method have been compared to flood images provided by the conventional Anger method, and substantially less image distortion is observed with the present method than with the Anger method. This reduced distortion can enable automatic crystal segmentation from raw flood image data, which is particularly beneficial in connection with simplifying positron emission tomography (PET) system calibration.

    摘要: A gateway application in a content engine multiplexes requests for real-time content to servers that, in turn, service the requests by streaming appropriate real-time content to requesting users. A software communication port of the content engine may be reserved to receive request messages from multiple client computers, at least two of which request streaming of real-time content according to different selected formats. After identifying client properties (e.g., a format for which to receive streaming real-time content) associated with the requests for real-time content, the gateway application identifies corresponding servers of the content engine to serve the real-time content according to the different selected formats. The gateway application forwards the requests for streaming of real-time content associated with the request messages to the corresponding servers which, in turn, satisfy the requests by streaming the requested real-time content to the client computers.

    摘要: A filtering scheme for an implantable medical device mitigates potentially adverse effects that may be caused by MRI-induced signals. In some aspects filtering is provided to attenuate MRI-induced signals on an implanted cardiac lead that is coupled to an implanted device. In some aspects the filter may be configured to complement a capacitor circuit (e.g., a feedthrough capacitor) that reduces the amount of EMI that enters the implanted device via the cardiac lead. In some implementations the filter consists of a LC tank circuit and a series LC circuit, where the LC tank circuit is in series with the cardiac lead and a cardiac stimulation circuit and the series LC circuit is in a shunt configuration across the cardiac stimulation circuit.
