摘要: A power steering control apparatus for a motor vehicle which ensures an appropriate steering force conforming to the prevailing road condition and hence the safety for the motor vehicle even when the wheels are locked due to hard brake applied on a slippery road. The apparatus includes a first microcomputer for determining a driving torque of a steering assist motor on the basis of steering torque information generated upon steering of a steering wheel and pseudo vehicle speed information to thereby generate and output a driving signal for the steering assist motor on the basis of the driving torque, and a second microcomputer for generating the pseudo vehicle speed signal on the basis of wheel rotation speed signals and acceleration/deceleration signal of the motor vehicle to thereby generate and output a brake actuation signal for wheels of the motor vehicle on the basis of the pseudo vehicle speed signal, the acceleration/deceleration information and brake application information. The first microcomputer may further include a memory for storing steering assist characteristics according to which the torque of the assist motor is changed.

摘要: A control apparatus for a motor-driven power steering system of a motor vehicle for preventing generation of actuation noise of a clutch without sacrificing reliability of the steering system. A current calculating/driving means 91 calculates a motor current command value I.sub.0 on the basis of a vehicle speed V and a steering torque T for driving a motor 13. An abnormal torque decision reference value arithmetic means 901 calculates an abnormal torque decision reference value T.sub.0 and a reference time t.sub.0 in dependence on the vehicle speed V, while a load torque calculating means 902 calculates a load torque T.sub.L on the basis of the steering torque T and the motor current command value I.sub.0. A motor rotation decision means 907 estimates a rotation number N.sub.M of the motor 13 from a motor regeneration voltage. When the load torque T.sub.L is greater than the abnormal torque decision reference value T.sub.0 and when a duration t.sub.L thereof is greater than the reference time t.sub.0, power supply to the motor 13 is interrupted under the control of a motor fault monitor/control means 904, provided that the rotation number N.sub.M is not greater than a motor stop decision reference rotation number N.sub.0. A clutch control means 92B is also so controlled that the steering torque T becomes equal to a preset torque limitation triggering value T.sub.1 so that the steering can be performed without encountering any appreciable obstacle.

摘要: An electric power steering control device includes a motor controller for controlling an electric motor providing the assisting steering torque; and a clutch controller for controlling an electromagnetic clutch selectively connecting the assisting steering torque of the motor to the steering system. The degree of engagement (connection) of the clutch corresponds to the clutch current command level I.sub.C. When the vehicle speed is above a predetermined speed V.sub.0 (i.e., during high speed driving), the clutch current I.sub.C is set at a predetermined half current level I.sub.CR. During low vehicle speeds below V.sub.0, the clutch current I.sub.C is gradually decreased to the half current level I.sub.CR as the vehicle speed increases to V.sub.0. When the steering torque T is above a first predetermined level T1 indicative of an abnormality during high speed operation, the clutch current I.sub.C is set at a minimal level I.sub.CO. The steering torque T is returned to the half current level I.sub.CR when it is below a second predetermined level T2 smaller than the first level T1, thereby avoiding steering torque hunting.

摘要: An accelerometer for automobiles is disclosed which is mounted on an electrically insulating plate (i.e., a printed circuit board) accommodated within an electrically conductive casing. The electrical connections from the electrodes of the piezoelectric element to the inputs of the charge amplifier are effected by a wiring pattern formed on the insulating plate. The casing consists of an open box-shaped base and a plate-shaped cover, a packing member being interposed therebetween, wherein an electrical connection between the base and the cover is provided by the fixing screws for fixing the cover to the base. The cover has a central recess in which through-type capacitors for producing hermetically sealed electrical connections through a wall of the casing are accommodated. Further, the charge amplifier comprises a temperature compensating capacitor having a positive temperature coefficient of capacitance which is coupled across the electrodes of the piezoelectric element; thus, the variation of the output voltage due to the change in the ambient temperature is compensated for by the capacitor and hence is reduced.
