摘要: A relaying device for providing optimum communication between a non-contact information medium and an information read/write device, and a communication system employing the relaying device, in which the adverse effect on communication, brought about by limitations on the mounting site of the information read/write device may be eliminated. The relaying device is formed by a resonance circuit 34 including a first antenna coil 31, electro-magnetically coupled to an antenna coil 11 of the information read/write device 10, a second antenna coil 32, connected in series with the first antenna coil 31 and electro-magnetically coupled to an antenna coil 21 of the non-contact information medium 20, and a tuning capacitor 33 connected in series with the first antenna coil 31 and the second antenna coil 32. The first antenna coil 31, second antenna coil 32 and the tuning capacitor 33 making up the resonance circuit 34 is resonated with the same resonance frequency as that of the resonance circuit 13 of the information read/write device 10 and that of the resonance circuit 23 of the non-contact information medium 20.

摘要: In a method for forming microlenses, an etching process is performed by using a processing gas on an object to be processed provided with a substrate, a lens material layer formed on the substrate and a mask layer of a lens shape formed on the lens material layer to etch the lens material layer and the mask layer, so that the lens shape of the mask layer is transcribed to the lens material layer. The processing gas is a gaseous mixture of a gas containing fluorine atoms but no carbon atoms and a fluorocarbon-based gas having a ratio of the number of carbon atoms to the number of fluorine atoms which is greater than or equal to 0.5, the gaseous mixture having no oxygen gas.

摘要: A superfine multi-core Nb3Al superconductive wire is produced by getting a Nb3Al superconductive wire ready which was obtained by subjecting a precursor wire having a superfine multi-core structure in which a plurality of Nb/Al complex cores are embedded in Nb, Ta, a Nb based dilute alloy, or a Ta based dilute alloy as the matrix to a rapid heating and quenching treatment comprising rapidly heating to a temperature range near 2,000° C. in 2 seconds, (A) coating the Nb3Al superconductive wire with Cu or Ag as the stabilizing material; then (B) subjecting to a hot isostatic press (HIP) process for 10 minutes or more in a inert gas environment with a pressure of 40 atmospheres or more; and then (C) subjecting heat treatment for 1-200 hours in temperature range of 680-850° C., to thereby obtain a method for producing Nb3Al superconductive wire and the Nb3Al superconductive wire obtained from said method in which: the cost is comparatively low; the wire may be produced to be either round or flat; and the superconductive characteristics is more stabilized.

摘要: A video signal processing apparatus and method for use with an electronic still camera or the like. An image memory is utilized which has a luminance data region for storing luminance data, a chromatic data region for storing chromatic data, a character data region for storing character data, and pattern data region(s) for storing pattern data. Character data and pattern data stored in the character data region and the pattern data regions may be combined with and/or incorporated into luminance data and chromatic data stored in the luminance data region and the chromatic data region. As a result, a dedicated ROM is not needed and information pertaining to an image photographed may be prevented from being loss. A video signal based on an image of an original photograph may be stored in original form when characters and patterns are incorporated into the image of the photograph.

摘要: If a BS (bad spot) occurs when data is written, then BST (bad spot table) is updated and registered in an EOD (end of data), thereby making it possible to carry out a recovery operation with ease in a short period of time. A data recorder for recording a DIT (directory information table) on a tape includes a data recorder body (65), a memory means (12) for temporarily memorizing the BST, a write state detecting means (17) for detecting occurrence of BS and a main control circuit (53M) serving as a control means for updating the BST each time BS occurs and controlling the data recorder (65) such that the data recorder (65) records updated DIT of at least the BST on a predetermined position of the tape when the tape is unloaded from the data recorder (65).
