The coupled switching valve is in a first state where a fill-up chamber 54 is communicated with a reservoir 72 via a relief valve 88 until the piston 42 is advanced by a predetermined distance from a rearmost position, and switched to a second state where the fill-up chamber 54 is directly communicated with the reservoir 72 via a the communication passage 84 without the relief valve disposed therebetween when the piston 42 is advanced by a distance larger than the predetermined distance. Thus, the hydraulic pressure in the fill-up chamber 54 rapidly decreases, and the hydraulic pressure in pressure chambers 50, 52 rapidly increase, thereby alleviating problems such as delay in braking.
