摘要: A backlight includes at least one first light source, and a light guide arranged to receive light from the at least one first light source on a side surface thereof and to emit planar light from a principle surface thereof substantially perpendicular to the side surface. Each of the at least one first light source includes a first elongated light emitting member and a second elongated light emitting member arranged substantially parallel to the first light emitting member. The second light emitting member is different in length in the lengthwise direction from the first light emitting member.

摘要: A bandwidth control system controls the bandwidths used by plural web crawlers. The bandwidth control system receives a connection request from one of the web crawlers for establishing a connection between that web crawler and a content server. The control system records each of the web crawlers in association with a content server to which that web crawler is connected. The control system monitors the traffic on the content servers to which the web crawlers are connected. When the traffic on the content server recorded becomes too heavy, the control system disconnects the web crawler from the content server to which the crawler is connected.

摘要: An ink jet printer has two first driven rollers (A) disposed at a most upstream position in a secondary scanning direction, two first driven rollers (B) disposed at an intermediate position in the secondary scanning direction, and a single first driven roller (C) disposed at a most downstream position in the secondary scanning direction. The pressing force on a trailing edge of the recording sheet (10) is dividedly released in three steps sequentially and, accordingly, the nipping force and feeding force working on the recording sheet (10) also vary stepwise. Load fluctuations that occur at the moment the trailing edge of the recording sheet (10) is released from the nipping force of the first transport roller (4) also vary stepwise, whereby it is not possible that the feed precision is disturbed in a moment.

摘要: The present invention provides a communication error detection apparatus that can detect errors of communication networks in a short term after the communication error detection apparatus are installed on the communication networks. In addition, the present invention provides a communication error detection apparatus that can immediately and correctly detect errors occurred in communication networks even if a connection configuration of the communication networks is changed. When the communication error detection apparatus according to the present invention is initially installed, the communication error detection apparatus performs a detection processing of the errors on the basis of a sampling method in which a sampling interval of packet signals up to a start of detection processing is a comparatively short. If the amount of the packet signals, which are sampled and accumulated, reaches a predetermined value, the communication error detection apparatus performs a detection processing of the errors on the basis of another sampling method. In addition, if the detection processing of the errors is temporally released, the another sampling method is changed into a sampling method in which a sampling interval of packet signals up to a start of detection processing is a comparatively short.

摘要: An abnormality management apparatus, connected via a network to a plurality of probes disposed at arbitrary positions in the network, comprises an abnormality level reception unit that receives information indicating an abnormality level calculated at each of the plurality of probes, an abnormality analysis unit that judges the scale of an abnormality manifesting in the network based upon an average value of the abnormality levels indicated at the plurality of probes and deviations relative to the average value and a result output unit that outputs results obtained at the abnormality analysis unit. The structure enables accurate assessment of the scale of an abnormality having occurred in the network and quick response to the abnormality by detecting its cause at an early stage.

摘要: A paper feed cassette having a size detection function has a paper stage formed integrally with a rear end restricting plate for restricting the rear end of paper sheets. On the bottom of the paper stage, a plurality of rib-like detection targets are arranged in the paper feed direction. The detection targets are detected by a plurality of detection switches arranged in the paper feed direction in a paper feed portion inside the main body of an image forming apparatus. A discriminator receives the detection signals from the detection switches and thereby recognizes the paper size and the presence/absence of the paper feed cassette.

摘要: Image data of various kinds of components and component text data required for mounting of components, e.g., shapes, dimensions, packing forms, colors, and the like of the components, are stored in a storage medium in a manner to be read out as part of a component electronic catalog. The storage medium is used to make a search for components on a screen and automatically read out necessary component text data. The component electronic catalog can be used not only to search for components on a screen, similar to a conventional component electronic catalog, but to automatically read out component text data so as to automatically form mounting data for components to be mounted which are selected through the screen search.
