摘要: A developing apparatus has a developer container for containing developer, a developer bearing member for bearing the developer within the developer container and for carrying the developer to a position opposed to an image bearing member. A first agitating member agitates the developer within the developer container, and a second agitating member agitates the developer within the developer container. The second agitating member is positioned farther than the first agitating member with respect to the image bearing member and an uppermost part of the second agitating member is higher than an uppermost part of the first agitating member.

摘要: Disclosed is a hydrogen storage alloy electrode for use in alkaline storage batteries that can reduce internal resistance of the battery and can give an excellent output characteristic and a long cycle life to the battery. The electrode comprises an AB5-type hydrogen storage alloy powder, a yttrium compound and a compound of a light rare earth element. The total content of the yttrium compound and the compound of a light rare earth element is in a range of 0.5 to 2.0 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of hydrogen storage alloy powder. Preferable ratios of the yttrium compound and the compound of a light rare earth element selected from La, Ce, Pr and Nd are, respectively, 60 wt % or more and 7 wt % or less in the total amount of the yttrium compound and the compound of the light rare earth element.

摘要: The present invention discloses the structure of a MIS capacitor adapted to be interposed between two terminals, i.e., first and second terminals, to be connected to an electric circuit. Formed on a common semiconductor substrate are first and second capacity insulator layers, first and second electrically conductive layers thereon, and first and second impurity diffusion areas under the first and second capacity insulator layers. Also formed are a first wiring line which connects the first electrically conductive layer and the second impurity diffusion area to the first terminal, and a second wiring line which connects the second electrically conductive layer and the first impurity diffusion area to the second terminal. Accordingly, the first electrically conductive layer and the second impurity diffusion area form one electrode, while the second electrically conductive layer and the first impurity diffusion area form the other electrode. With the arrangement above-mentioned, voltage dependencies inherent in capacitors each having a MIS structure are substantially cancelled with each other, resulting in reduction of the voltage dependency of the MIS capacitor. Through a process using one polysilicon layer, there can be formed an economical MIS capacitor having a small area which can be mounted on an analog circuit.

摘要: A densitometer using a microwave comprises a microwave detection section, a phase detection section, and a density calculation section. The microwave detection section picks up a first microwave receiving signal by transmitting and receiving a microwave of a frequency band of 1.4 --GHz-- to 1.75 --GHz-- to/from a reference fluid, and a second microwave receiving signal by transmitting and receiving a microwave of a frequency band of 1.4 --GHz-- to 1.75 --GHz-- to/from a measuring fluid. The phase detection section obtains a phase difference between the first microwave receiving signal and the second microwave receiving signal. The density calculation section calculates the density of measuring fluid based on the phase difference obtained by the phase detection section.

摘要: An apparatus for thermotherapy has a plurality of temperature sensors to control a temperature-elevating energy output for allowing temperature which is detected at the temperature sensors to be set to be within a predetermined temperature range. To this end, the apparatus is adapted to select one or a plurality of temperature sensors which are detected at different sites in an area including an affected region to be temperature-elevated, to compare measured data of the selected temperature sensor with predetermined temperature data and to control a temperature-elevating output on the basis of a result of comparison.

摘要: A CAM cell array for storing a logical address is divided into first to third CAM sections. A first partition switch circuit intervenes between a zeroth piece of sense line connected to a sense circuit and a first piece of sense line for the first CAM section. The sense circuit is a circuit for selecting a RAM cell array in which a physical address to be read out is stored. A second partition switch circuit intervenes between the first piece of sense line and a second piece of sense line for the second CAM section. A third partition switch circuit intervenes between the second piece of sense line and a third piece of sense line for the third CAM section. By controlling switching operation of respective partition switch circuits according to page size, optimum length of the sense line is utilized, thus achieving a high-speed address translation.
